ALIAS - 21 Days and Counting

September 28th is the season premiere of ALIAS. The long-awaited, oft-debated and discussed season premiere.

So, can the show take the complete shock of the 2nd season finale and make it work? Where has Sydney been? Why is Vaughn married? What happened to Will, Francie/Allison, Jack, Sloane, Irina and Dixon?

I know the answers to most of those questions already, but I want to know what the other fans are hoping to see/expecting and hear some theories on where the show’s headed.

well Brian, you know I’m looking forward to the season premiere. I’ve been watching my brand new, beautiful ALIAS dvds and have been loving every second.

I sinceraly hope we see Irina back, and often. I’m anxious to see what happened to Jack and curious to see what happened to Allison. I think Sark in CIA custody will be fascinating and why were those walls vibrating…

I could go on and on. I really have to watch the finale again before the premiere.

Could someone spoil last seasons finale for me. I missed it after religiously looking at all the rest

Pretty please

It’s two hours, so strap in.
Part one basically focuses on Sydney and the CIA discovering that Will may be the double. (He’s not.) Francie/Allison frames him by changing his retinal patterns and planting gene therapy medicine on him. Dixon attacks him in the VIP Celebrity Prison Cell because he thinks Will killed Diane. Shortly after, Will is transferred to Camp Harris, under the watchful eye of Dixon. Sark and Allison coordinated an extraction, but Dixon kills the extraction team and Will escapes.

Sydney and Vaughn go to Germany to get information about the doubling process, in a cute and funny dominatrix scene. After finding out about a secret server farm where the information that could clear Will is, Jack sends Sydney, Vaughn and a team to Marseilles to get the info.

Meanwhile, Jack, demoted behind Kendall again, goes to a restaurant where Sloane shows up. He tells Jack they will work together again, and that this time Sydney won’t be a pawn. He also says he’s gathered all the Rambaldi artifacts.

Sydney fails to get the information, as Irina shows up and uses a killswitch to reset the servers. She has a copy of the information and will trade it for a favor.

That’s part one.

El Parte Dos begins with Syd and the gang at CIA headquarters looking for Will, who called Francie/Allison at the end of Part One and is in hiding in motel room somewhere. He is quickly captured and taken back to the VIP Celebrity Prison Cell.

Irina, as promised, sends Sydney the information. A quick test confirms that Will is Will, and he’s released.

Syd and Vaughn are practicing hockey. Vaughn leaves and Irina shows up. She tells Sydney to raid a warehouse in Zurich and take the Rambaldi artifacts back from Sloane. Then she knocks Sydney out.

Sark and Allison get together and Sark reveals that the doubling process can’t be reversed. He also gives Allison the gene therapy medicine she needs.

Jack is moving the DiRegno heart, the only Rambaldi artifact Sloane needs, when the convoy is attacked. Sloane’s men capture Jack and the heart. Sloane tells Jack that he’s almost finished assembling “The Telling,” a mysterious Rambaldi device that will have great power. Then walls shake and lights flash as the machine is presumably tested.

Will, working with Weiss, discovers that the second double is Allison Doren, a Project Christmas kid who was declared dead years earlier.

Syd, Vaughn, Marshall and Marshall’s new woman go to Zurich, where they find crates of kitchen appliances. Irina calls Syd later and tells her where to find Sark, who can lead them to Sloane, Jack and the artifacts.

Syd and Vaughn go to Stockholm, where Sark is captured (and beat with a table by Vaughn.) Sark tells the CIA that Sloane is in Mexico City.

A CIA raid, aided by Sark’s intel, gets Jack, but Sloane escapes with The Telling. Irina shows up to shoot Sloane’s guards and allow Vaughn to chase him, while Syd follows her. Syd has her at gunpoint on the roof, where Irina tells Syd that the Prophecy isn’t about Sloane or her, but that Sydney is the chosen one. Then Irina jumps off the building, bungees in a window and escapes.

Meanwhile, Will has discovered that Francie isn’t Francie. He leaves a voicemail for Syd, and Allison stabs him with a kitchen knife. Syd returns home, checks her voicemail and confirms that Allison isn’t Francie. They have a ten-minute fight scene that destroys the house. In the end, Syd shoots Allison and then collapses.

Syd wakes up on a street in Hong Kong with different clothes and hair. She calls the CIA from a pay phone, and Kendall quickly directs her to a safe house. While waiting for her contact, she discovers a scar on her stomach.

Vaughn enters the room, shaken, and Syd rushes to meet him. He tells her Will is okay, and that they thought she was dead. He rubs his face and reveals a wedding ring. Syd asks about the ring, and Vaughn tells her she’s been missing for almost two years. Cut to black.

Damn I’m sorry I missed that. Can’t wait for the new series.

Thanks brianjedi much appreciated.

You’re welcome. Just hate that I missed that spoiler close tag. Oh well.

Anyway, you can watch both halves in December when the Season 2 DVDs come out.

Speaking of DVDs, how about the cast commentary on “Almost Thirty Years”? Who would have guessed Ron Rifkin could be that funny? Vartan was also hilarious “It’s my scene, everybody be quiet.”
