ALIAS series finale tonight 5/22 (spoilers)

Tonight, Sydney Bristow’s saga comes to an end. Who else has hung in with me through all five batshit seasons?

I won’t be home tonight, but I will record it. (why did the 24 fianle have to conflict). I’ll take a searies Finale over a seaon finale, so Alias wins. (i am recording teh 1st hour of 24)

I sure hope they mention that Sydney did view Mount Whatsit. I seem to recall that affected the prophesy. Oh, and they shoukd recite the prophesy again.

This woman here depicted will possess unseen marks, signs that she will be the one to bring forth my works: bind them with fury, a burning anger. Unless prevented, at vulgar cost, this woman will render the greatest power unto utter desolation. This woman, without pretense, will have had her effect, never having seen the beauty of my sky behind Mt. Subasio. Perhaps a single glance would have quelled her fire.

There’s another prophecy that’s never given in its entirety in which it’s stated that “The Chosen One” and “The Passenger” will battle to the death. Sydney is identified as The Chosen One and Nadia is identified as The Passenger. They fought in Russia but Nadia didn’t die at that time (and it was Sloane who shot her). Now Nadia’s (apparently) dead at Sloane’s hands so unless they do some fancy retconning in the finale that particular thread will be left dangling. I thought that with Anna getting helixed into dupli-Syd a couple weeks ago that she and Nadia would battle but now Anna’s (apparently) dead too.

Otto, what does this part of the prophesy mean: “never having seen the beauty of my sky behind Mt. Subasio”, in the context of the finale? I’m sure I could read your Wiki updates to find out, but going to the source is quicker!

I didn’t do those particular updates, but whoever did interprets it to mean the projection from the Rambaldi amulet that starts to form on the cave wall just before Sloane shoots the ground out from under Syd.
