There was a Japanese video game, translated into English for the American market entitled Zero Wing. They must have skimped on their translators. The part when the guy comes in to conquer them, he says, “All your base are belong to us!”
I believe it was the Something Awful websites and forums that really began to make it popular, since I was hearing it over at the Smile and Act Nice boards-a sort of trolling ground for SA, long before it became popular.
And since we’ve done this enough, I’m closing this thread.
