While I’m waiting for pizza, here’s a picture of the yarn I’m using and the project in progress.
Fixed it for you.
I did no work today. Pleh. I plan on doing some work tomorrow, but not a full day. At some point though, the productivity really needs to scale up, since the end of the term is upon me and I have finals to slay like the dragons they are.
MamaTigs, sorry to hear your torturerImeantherapist put you through all that. She deserves to be whacked with terroriststicks!
Here’s my lapdance photo. It’s actually rather tame, because my friend took it from behind, so all you can really see is my ass, and my friend’s hand on my thigh. I’m just grateful you can’t see my face.
Ha ha **Spats ** you funny
Another semi-successful night - I got about 5 hours straight, then 4 more broken hours, so I’m doing OK. The critters have been attended to and I have a load of clothes in the washer. When **FCD ** gets up, we’ll decide what to do about breakfast, then I’ll slap some color on the bedroom wall. While the color is drying, I’ll have some clay play, then finish up with a second coat of color. Shouldn’t be too tough a day.
The big question now is: How long will my sweetie stay slugged under the covers? He told me last night he intended to sleep in. But how long till I can go in there and perhaps accidentally get him up so we can get the day started? Decisions, decisions…
FCM I say by 8:30, if he ain’t up you have permission to practice your cymbal playin’ in the bedroom. I mean, you have to practice to keep your skills up, right?
Up and caffienatin’ here. I went to bed right after I posted last night and we watched tv for a bit whilst havin’ a snuggle. Pretty soon though neither one of us could keep our eyes open so the tv went off and we went out. Wild ones we are.
Think I’ll go check out the paper. I already brought it in. It’s cool this morning. Heck, high is only supposed to reach 60 today! Gasp I think it’ll be a good afternoon to give da cave a little spiffin’ up. Gotta stay on top of that stuff after all.
BionicTigs I’d tell that therapist to ease up. Let her know the pain you’ve been in. Maybe wouldn’t hurt to mention it to the doc next visit. She should know better.

Happy Sunday! I am off to work in a few, enjoy your day.
Haze, how ya doin’?
Now look what wou’ve done, Haze- all the straight men have fainted.
Happy Sunday, everyone! I’ve read parts, but not the whole thing.
QD and I went to the Antique Clothing and Textiles show yesterday. We didn’t spend nearly as much as we could have. She bought a cute Fifties dress and matching jacket and a pair of filigree earrings. I got a silk robe and slinky nightgown combination. The robe is beautiful. I didn’t buy any Edwardian evening dress. That was good. Dangerous place.
Yawn. Off to surf the Dope more before Mr. LIssar wakes up.
Yeah. So, wake up, have a nice peaceful cuppa caffeine, make some breakfast, sit down, open the MMP, and…Hi haze!!!
End of Dirty Old Man mode.
I got some housecleaning to do today. One week from NOW I’ll be in a plane on the way to a week in Tucson (with hi-speed wireless at mom’s so y’all don’t miss me). This means Olga the Cat Sitter will be in the house, and everyone knows that the cat sitter must have a clean house or she’ll think badly of us, right?
:dubious:
MBG Olga sits on cats. How picky could she be.
The cave needs a spiffin’ up as well. However, having eaten a huuuuuuuuge brunch. I feel a nap comin’ on first so’s I can be all energized. Yeah. That’s it. I’m nappin’ to store up energy. Works for me!
Ooooh, missed LiLi, darn it. ::waves anyway::
Why is it that when I read what QD bought, I’m concerned about whether she has the appropriate underwear for it? (Holey underwear does not go with such a chic outfit, dearest QD.)
My personal favorites are people who clean house for the housecleaners. Cleaning house for the cat sitter is considerate.
I could do with a week in Tucson right about now. Can I come visit too?
I’m making a list and going grocery shopping in a moment. Had seafood quiche and salad for brunch - yum - and quite filling. Makes it hard to think about groceries though.
Off to be productive or something.
GT
Whew! I’m pooped.
**FCD ** got up about 8:15, and we got to Bob Evans around 9 for a quick, so-so breakfast. Then to Lowe’s to buy some molding and a paintbrush, over to the marina to make sure the boat is still floating (it is) then home. I put the first coat of paint on the bedroom walls. FCD put up the masking tape for me, making the painting easy, then he put up the closet door casing.
Once I finished the first coat, we loaded some debris into the van for a dump run next week. Now we’re trying to decide what to do for lunch. Then I hope I can play with clay a little bit.
It’s brisk and windy and winter is trying to sneak back in. I’ll not stand for it, dammit!!!
I have done nothing of note today.
I’m getting ready to get cleaned up and then I’m going to spiff up the house too. The hubby and son are gone to the Paintball field, so I should make the best of my time. When they return, I’ll need to go to the grocery store so I can get us some vittles.
Nothing new going on here, just same ol’, same ol’.
House is clean. Oven is self-cleaning as I type.
I’m working, watching the Salukis try to battle back against Creighton.
Soon it’s [del]reading while reclined with my eyes closed[/del] nap time, on the couch.
Then some of this salmon I picked up from Omaha Steaks for dinner.
It’s just after 9.30pm on Sunday night and I’ve just got home from my weekend away.
Oh.
My.
Liver.
That’s all.
BooFae we look forward to all the lurid details tomorrow.
MBG I too am cleaning my oven as I post. Ah, the wonders of self-cleaning ovens. The bathrooms, kitchen and my bedroom are clean. I shall commence tackling the living room and dining rooms next. Then the guest bedroom and the study where I presently sit. It will all be done in a couple of hours. Then the entire swampcave will be all spiffy.
Hi LiLi. Hope the internet withdrawals ain’t got ya too bad.
I hear ya!!
I’ve been at the library since 2pm and my productivity level is roughly 0.59375%. Gaaaaah.
Hi, all. Just a quick catch up while my turkey breast roasts in the oven. It’s already smelling really good. Oh, darn, I forgot to get the N.O.T.s in for baking in a timely manner cause I was all engrossed in the happenings here.
Glad to see tigs and li-li! ::Waves::
I took a mental health day on Friday and went shopping for some spring clothes. Reviews are mixed but I did manage to come home with three different outfits. However, we are due for some chilly weather starting tomorrow so I won’t be wearing any of them till it warms up.
Mr. Anachi had a nuclear stress test on Friday. His results were very good! Yay! Course we didn’t know that until tonight when an unexpected call from his cardiologist nearly touched off another heart attack.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s MMP. See ya!
We had a nice late lunch at Arizona Pizza - I got the ChopChopGrilledChicken salad, and **FCD ** got the Greek salad, and we shared an order of cheese sticks (pizza dough with cheese melted on it - yum) It was a good meal, and I’m still stuffed. When we got back, FCD had to take his car back down to Leonardtown to get a couple of tires - his spare and the right front tire were both flat. So he’s good to go for a few more miles.
I trimmed all the red pots I’d thrown the other day, and decorated 4 of them. Then I cleaned up the wreck of a studio. I was going to trim the white pots, but I was just too tired, so I tossed a couple of wet sponges into the box to keep them moist till I can get to them. I emptied the dryer and folded the contents, only to discover that I’m missing a black sock.
The bedroom looks really good - I’m really pleased with the color we picked. When it was going on, it looked purplish, but it dried to a lovely medium blue. I held up the drapes that I bought and they look great against the wall. I do have to buy a pair of wide curtain rods, since the ones we have are traverse rods for pinch pleat drapes. But tomorrow, I’ll do the second coat as well as a coat on the door casing. Then it’ll mostly be up to **FCD ** to finish trimming the closet door and install the closet shelves, plus do the new plugs, switch, and ceiling fan. We should have the room all done except for carpets by next weekend. YAY!
Next project - the master bedroom. The mirrored tiles will finally be coming down! And the peasants rejoiced!!!
For now, I need to pack breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. And take a shower. And get a good night’s sleep…
Da swampcave is all spiffy and shiny and f-aaaaaa-bu-lous!
Yeah, Puggy what’s with the cool weather. It’s time for spring dangitall! I’m glad Mr. Anachi’s nuclear test went well. Nuclear stress test? Ummm… usually goin’ all nuclear means like really stressin’ out. I have this mental image of the doctor tellin’ him to go all nuclear on 'em and they measure how much stress he has afterwards. Hey, it’s fun inside my head.
Add me to the list of people looking forward to tales of BooFae’s weekend (not to mention the blood and gore that went into becoming Bionic Tigs)!
All that housework in MMPland is making me look lazy!
And yay! on Mr. Anachi’s stress test.
I went to Target and two grocery stores. Giant Eagle didn’t have a couple items I was looking for, so I went to Kroger. It’s changed completely since the last time I went there! The deli and bakery moved, they added a wine cellar, and they’ve added lots more household items. Found what I was looking for. Giant Eagle is fine, for the most part, but there are a few items where they have a really narrow selection. They have almost no canned fruit, don’t have Mazola oil (which means they don’t have Mazola spray, which is one of the items I was looking for), and don’t have the chicken broth I buy in the cartons that I prefer. Kroger does much better with all of those items. Also, their hot cross buns are far better.
I’ve put out all my recycling and am in the process of simmering poke chops in sauce to make chilaquiles (Mexico’s answer to lasagna, kind of). It’s not normally made with meat and cheese, but I like it better with additions.
I’m about to clean out the pantry to make sure I know what I have, and plan out menus for the next little bit.
Exciting, huh?
Back after a while…
