I received a Christmas present from a co-worker today. It’s a tiny ceramic sleigh, maybe two inches by three. It was filled with hard candies, and has a little loop of string on one end so it can be used as a Christmas tree ornament. On the bottom of the sleigh there is a sticker: “For Decorative Purposes Only”.
I can’t imagine what purposes the thing could possibly have that aren’t decorative. “Tiny candy dish” and “tree ornament” both fall in that category. What else could you attempt to do with it that would make that warning sticker necessary?
Those little lego guys, you could slide them down a hill in it. You could fill it with some kind of food or sauce, and then put it in the microwave or oven. I guess.
Even though the sleigh is extremely small, the warning is probably there to discourage people from using it as an actual sleigh. The manufacturer is just covering its bases…
there is probably an online website with a few… umm… shall we say… illicit uses for them… as well as damn nigh anything else… at least it didn’t say “external use only”
