Alzheimers and Marijuana: Does it Work? Your Experiences?

For the past decade or so, reports like this pop up in the mainstream media, suggesting that marijuana may slow or stop the progression of Alzheimers:

Some of these reports suggest a specific treatment protocol: low dose marijuana combined with a daily dose of Ibuprofen or some other Cox II inhibitor:

Granted, at first glance this seems like so much pro weed propaganda mixed with the quack medicine that thrives on the internet. Could this actually be effective treatment?

Personal experience and anecdote welcome. Medical and scientific expertise also welcome

I can’t remember if it works.

A nice review is here: Cannabinoids for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease: moving toward the clinic - PMC

Summary: Low doses of certain varieties of cannabinoids seem to be helpful, but higher doses, or doses that include a lot of delta 9 THC seem to cause more problems with attention span, memory retention, etc.

Interesting. Thanks!

I have a recurring nightmare that I’m already afflicted and during my lucid moments everyone I know is just humoring me.
