I joined on 9.22.02, and my ppd is 0.13. In my defense, I have a job where I actually have to…you know…work. So, I occaisonally have the time, inclination, and interest to post, but mostly I just log on, look for something to make me laugh–and that has never failed yet–and then head back to work. I have to admit wondering how some of my fellow dopers find time to make a living…
I started lurking back in '99. I joined up on the day that the great WallyM7 passed away. I’m another one that reads almost every day but posts very rarely.

Well, I lurked for a year and a half before signing up, and now that I have, I really haven’t posted all that much in the last few years. My posying habits usually consist of about 15-20 posts on a day of binge drinking and the occasional epiphany that I find witty and hilarious, but nobody else does. I used to get recognized all the time for my user name, but then I changed it…ummmmm…where the hell was I going with this? Oh, yeah…I needed another beer.

I thought that I mostly lurked, but I like to see that others are less posty than I. I joined 08/21/05 and only have 123 (0.13).
I mostly read and enjoy what others have to say and do not feel like putting in my own imput.
I’m don’t consider myself a lurker, even though I only have a .25 ppd count. I joined back in the day in 2001 and never really did much with it. I posted in a GD thread about child abuse when I signed up and then really nothing for a long time. Then I read that it was going to become a paid thing and I sat there thinking about it for a long time. Then, at the 11th hour, or so, on the last day you could sign up at the discounted rates, I signed up. Then I figured that since I pay, I might as well enjoy it. So I never really was a lurker, just I wandered off and have only in the past year come back.
I’m at .04 and that doesn’t take into account 2-3 years of lurking before registering (I wanted to do a search!). I’m trying to be more active but I find usually someone will say what I wanted to say before I get there (and almost always says it better anyway).
Of course the true lurkers would never respond to this thread…
