Am I drinking myself rich?

I drink a lot of beer. Without apologies I’ll say it again. I drink a lot of beer. And my beer of choice is Sam Adams. Mostly the lager but occasionally one of the seasonal brews. For a while I was saving the bottle caps thinking maybe I’ll do something artsy craftsy with them. Never got around to doing anything with them but saved a bunch “just in case”. Well, yesterday I came across a number of Ebay auctions for Sam Adams bottle caps. I never paid attention but it seems they are individually numbered (inside) as if they were intended to be collectable.
Now I’m sure I have more than a few kindred souls here who lament the loss of their baseball cards and comic books from way back. So should I hang on to these? Pass them on to my grandchildren perhaps? Or is this just the latest incarnation of beanie babies and I should sell them for a few quick bucks to buy more beer?

Probably the best bet is to just keep drinking and wondering.

Good advice. burp

When I was in college we had a 5 gallon water jug on one side of the room and every time you finished a beer you had to try and toss the cap in it from the other side of the room. After filling the thing 3/4 of the way full no one had ever landed a shot. Then one day me and my buddy Rich were drinking some brews and he made one in, except the roommates weren’t home and never believed me. And in the end, none of our crazy plans about what to do with the bottle caps materialized. An unutilized affordance, they were.

That said, might I point your attention towards a Google Image search for ‘bottlecap art’: http://images.google.com/images?q=bottlecap+art
