Am I the only one who likes buttered popcorn candy?

Buttered popcorn Jelly Bellys!
Buttered Popcorn Jelly Bellys!
BUTTERED POPCORN JELLY BELLYS!

yes yes yes oh GOD yes. Yummy!

Although I have to admit, I really like the Bertie Bott’s black pepper beans as well.

lightbulb goes on

two popcorns, one black pepper… hmmm.

Around here, banks and hair salons keep dum dums on the counter for the kiddies, size notwithstanding. (I can’t even go through the drive-up teller without my daughter clamoring for one, and making sure I get one too!) I think they must get them at Sam’s Club. And, yes, I am loathe to say that they all have the buttered popcorn ones, or rather the sweaty armpit dum dums. Blech! As a matter of fact, when the counter bowls get low, that and the mystery ones are about all I can find.

When it comes to dum dums, root beer is the only way to go. And I’m not alone. Try to find any root beer ones. You can’t because I swiped them all! Bwaaahaaaahaaa!

I don’t know about Jelly Bellys because it’s been ages since I had them. I’m not sure why really, but I think it may be I’m just overwhelmed by the variety of flavor choices. Do they have root beer, though? That might make me go back.

Cinnamon girl, Of course they have root beer Jelly Bellys- A+W to be exact. They’re delicious, but nothing tops buttered popcorn or cappucino.

Yep, we get the bags at Sam’s. My PERSONAL faves are cream soda, bubble gum, and cotton candy.
The experience of eating the vomit flavored Bertie Bott jelly belly is something I will never forget. Neither will the two friends who dared me to eat it. That thing went flying out of my mouth at the speed of light. I never dared eat the booger one.

I ate the booger one. Out of morbid curiosity, I… well, I did a taste test comparison, OK? Shut up, it was for scientific purposes only.

They got it wrong.

perhaps the booger taste varies from person to person? I am thinking you should apply for a grant and study this more thoroughly…
They sure did get the vomit one right, btw.

I love them, but it definitely got old when I bought a pound of them at the supermarket.

Mmmmm… popcorn jelly bellies? Yes.

I love all the flavors that are non-fruity… except rootbeer and coconut. But the popcorn is great, as is the cappucino, cafe latte, french vanilla, caramel corn, and… best of all… the peanut butter. Mmmmm…

Ok, I get that popcorn jelly bellies taste like buttered popcorn, rootbeer, coconut, etc.

But what exactly is the difference in flavor between cappuccino and cafe latte? Aren’t they basically the same thing, flavorwise? Maybe the caps are stronger in coffee flavor? Really, I’m just curious because those flavors sound awfully redundant.

I love the buttered popcorn Jelly Belly. They are awesome. At christmas time they even made them candy cane style but with all kinds of different flavors. They were so good. Sure wish I had some. I knew opening this thread was going to make me crave them even more.

Have you tried the new thing by Jelly Belly? They are chocolate pieces, kind of like M and Ms but they are coated with your favorite JB flavors. And, I did like the chocolate ones with buttered popcorn coating.

:: shudder :: The vomit Jelly Belly bean. That’s the only thing I’ve eaten where my gag reflex started before I had even finished chewing the thing (seriously, I was heaving). :frowning:

Not only do I like the buttered popcorn jelly bellies, I also like the caramel corn ones. There’s a speciality candy shop about 15 minutes away from me that stocks about 40 or so flavours of jelly bellies. I try not to go there very often.

I’ve never heard of dum dums.

Last week was my birthday. Today DoktorFluffand MsRobyn presented me with two big boxes full of buttered popcorn Dum Dums because they are wonderful.

I am addicted to these things, I swear. Thank you two!

Ditto to both, and the popcorn jelly bellies are my favorite flavor.

I used to work in a doctor’s office that had Jelly Bellys around all the time. None of us liked to buttered popcorn, and as a prank we would encourage the drug reps to “go ahead and try them, they’re really good.” We would laugh…

yuck yuck yuck
