Am I the only one who sees Obama as a Huge Media Whore?

Show of hands, who remembers when Presidential press conferences were a regular, prime-time, (non-)event?

CMC fnord!

Right. I’d like to see him on TV taking questions from the press more often, not less.

 And if he doesn’t comment he gets labeled ‘aloof’,‘arrogant’, and ‘stand-offish’ by these same people.

Man, I remember that no-good President Bush commenting on Katrina and Teri Shaivo. What a media whore!

Yeah sure, we want it back when Presidents don’t talk to the people, dictate all press conferences on their terms, and don’t show their face except when its good for them

I want my president to lead the nation in memorials for firefighters, or answering questions about the issues at hand, or pushing his agenda on TV, radio, telephone, telegram, hologram, etc. He’s the most visible and highest ranking elected official, he has a huge power to affect policy and set the national agenda and especially when those things are factually needed, the bills are objectively good, I want him front and center making sure those pass

Imagine how we feel with Tea Partyists! There are thousands of them! It’s like, “You lost, just shut the fuck up already. Thanks!”

I applaud this Pitting. The sense of entitlement our President has is just disgusting. Who does he think he is? He’d never even have been elected without playing the race card, and shenanigans like Blacks voting without ID. I still can’t get over the time he was too stupid to look at the weather report, had to have a Marine dishonor himself by holding an umbrella for the Turkish President … and then this imitation of a President didn’t even have the grace to admit his own worthlessness by refusing an umbrella for himself.

Obama preempts every news show for a stupid Easter Egg hunt or something, but when he killed Osama bin Laden we saw him cowering in the White House cellar, presumably out of fear. When GWB killed Osama bin Laden, he proudly led Americans in celebration by flying his own jet onto an aircraft carrier.

I want to thank OP for his important and well-thought out essay. “Piece of S**t” indeed!

Many of us can’t wait until real Americans take our White House back.

Sure hope I just got whooshed, because that’s just crazy otherwise.

Let me highlight the following phrase and allow you to draw your own conclusions:

I assumed he meant Saddam Hussein.

Is there a difference?

No, they’re the same person, like Mahmoud Abbas and Abu Mazen. It’s an Arab thing.

They better be the same person or we just invaded the wrong country. Ooopsie!

-GWB 2003.

I don’t have a cite, but heard an historian speaking on (I think) Sirius radio channel 104 on stand up with Pete Domenick, and he said Bush senior mentioned broccoli and his dislike of it somewhere around 800 times during his presidency.

I’m sure that can be confirmed somewhere.

This says he mentioned it about 70 times. 800 times would mean he talked about broccoli every other day (and then some) for four years.

Well, he did fucking hate broccoli.

Or maybe he went on a few Dr. Seuss-esque rants about not liking boccoli with cheese, not with ice cream, not with bees, and not liking broccli in a truck or with a turducken, like WTF!?!?

I think PBS should have a weekly show called Mr. Obama’s Neighborhood in which he teaches basic morality and tolerance through object lessons, hand puppets with cute voices and nifty little crafts.

Seriously–he’s the F-ing president. LEADER of The Americans. Frankly, I don’t see/hear him often enough to fully understand his plan/leadership goals. Dude needs to get more TV time and pound his vision into his constituents. Mr.Obama’s Neighborhood could even have a 10 minute bit where he eviscerates the Pants On Fire liar about his administration du jour. “And today, ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to address the ‘death panels’ lie brought up by a desperate, Alaskan housewife who would rather see you bleed out in your own kitchen than get healthcare…”

In an attempt to give this more credence than it deserves, I think our President has had quite bit to say about the IRS “scandal.”

That makes him a media whore too I guess.

I don’t know what he should say about Bengahazi because there’s no there there. Or, perhaps its all been covered up.

Ha! That was supposed to be “80.” My credibility is shot.

Sorry. Many don’t get my jokes, so I’m trying to remember to add a smiley  just to show humor was intended. I feared it would spoil the effect of that post, however.

This is the line I thought gave it away:

In a forum where more flames are allowed, I’d comment on how infuriating it is the way this black President is lied about and insulted without cause. Umbrella-gate is just one of the more inanely egregious examples. There was no response from Faux News et al when photos were found of white Presidents under umbrellas.
