When I get dressed and need a bra, I don’t go to the drawer. I have to go hunt through the house to find one of the several that are in random spots where they’ve been left after I’ve decided “gosh, I don’t want to wear a bra anymore. I’ll take it off and set it here!”
This also results in the entertaining spectacle of Opal trying to find and collect all of her bras before company comes over.
sigh
Is it just me? My house isn’t messy. Generally the only things strewn about are jackets, throw blankets, cat toys, and… my bras.
Hmmm… You mean, should I wear the one in the bathroom, dig around for the one that I saw lying on the dog crates, or scrounge in my bedroom for the 5 or so bras laying in various places (only one of which is actually in the drawer) or what about the one in the plastic bag in my car?
I’ve never encountered this before. When Pepper Mill performs the Female Magic Trick and removes her bra without undoing her shirt (Ta Daaaa!) she usually puts it on the Ottoman, then takes it in the bedroom first chance she gets, or when she retires for the night. She won’t leave it out overnight.
Hmmm, I like the way you first say “…because I don’t want to wear it anymore…” and secondly “…it got uncomfy…:”
Don’t you mean “ARRRGGGHHH, this thing is KILLING me!!! …must come off NOW!!!..Screeeeech, tearteartear…throw as far as possibly away from self”???
I usually only have one bra strewn about: the one I wore yesterday. It is generally wherever I took it off, the problem is I can’t always remember where that event happened. When I am hunting for it, my husband always asks me if I wore it home .
I can see two from where I’m sitting at my computer desk. That’s the first place I go when I come home, and that’s usually where the bra (and shoes) come off.
There’s occasionally one or two in an unusual place (well, not that unusual–it’s usually the livingroom), but our apartment is plagued by mens socks instead. Whenever I do laundry I have to check every room in the place to make sure I don’t miss any.
And Owls wonders why he can never seem to find clean socks…
Sorry, mine are in one of three places in the household: in the dresser drawer, hanging from the bathroom closet hook, or laying beside the bathroom. None strewn around the house.
Learned that lesson early on. When I was 11 or so, I was at a friend’s house with her while her parents (and visiting aunt/uncle) were out.
For some reason, someone had left a bra out in the kitchen.
We hung it from the lamp over the kitchen table.
When the adults returned, the aunt’s reaction was quite gratifying.
Fearing fate will come and get me, I avoid tempting it.
Not bras (too afraid to lose the cat in one) but shoes. I counted 10 pairs around the living room Saturday afternoon before I finally got around to picking them up and putting back in the bedroom.
I use the bedpost. I have 4 bras hanging on there right now.
Now and then, there will be a bra somewhere in the living room, but that’s only if it was removed for a bout of spontaneous hey-this-show-is-boring-wanna-do-it-instead sex.
I have three - one is usually in the drawer (it still has its underwires intact!), two at the foot of the bed on the bench. Sometimes one will be on the couch until I take it to the bedroom, but only if there’s laundry to be folded on it. My Dad lives with my hubby and me, and it would be embarrassing. (For him!)
Strewn all over the bedroom, or occasionally left in the bathroom because I was too lazy to pick it up after the bath, yes. Nowhere else in the house, though.
Now socks… that’s a whole 'nother story. I hate socks, so I usually yank them off as soon as I walk in the door and promptly get left all balled up in a corner somewhere. Thankfully, if company comes over and finds a discarded sock, it’s not nearly as embarassing.
