Accidentally Invading Poland.
That was family edition, whichever team had the dad and all the daughters.
Ignore that…I think it was actually the Godlewskis (the adult sisters who pretty much screamed at each other the entire race). The Bransens actually came in 2nd overall (minutes after the Linzes and at least an hour before the F-in’ Weavers).
And yes, I apologize for dredging up the horror of Family Edition.
Let us never speak of it again (except to agree that the Weavers were the most psychotic team ever.)
Quick solution to the fanny pack hassle. When you take off your backpack and fanny back…attach them to each other! (Best if it’s in some inconvenient way. Like, so it flops about if you put on the backpack without unattaching the fanny pack.)
I would think the Roadblock probably had some information about what years = what signs. It just required that one of the team members took the time to look up both signs.
There’s another possibility. While Zev was doing the Roadblock, he had two of the same charm at first. (Two horses, no goat, I think.) When he discovered that, he took one of the horses back and put it on the ground where Vyxsin eventually found it. Could Z & J be looking at a penalty for impeding another team duing a Challenge?
I like Zev & Justin, but Zev really doesn’t handle frustration very well. My brother is like that. Their Achilles heel will be whether he can do his Roadblocks quickly and get things right the first time.
U-Turns could be interesting in the next leg since only the cowboys (who saw them on the tram) and Zev and Justin know just how much Kent and Vyxsin have cought up.
Unless other teams saw them and it just didn’t make TV.
I don’t think the double U-turn will help K&V – every team knows that they are in last place, and only the Cowboys and Zev & Justin know that they are nearly caught up (at least, before losing the fanny pack). That makes K&V the first choice to U-turn, especially for a team already near the back of the pack. Sure, another team may be U-turned too but they’ll still start ahead of the goths, without the panic and anxiety that Vyxxyn is experiencing already.
K&V’s day is going to get a whole lot worse then they see that on top of all their other problems, they’ve been U-turned.
First, though, it’s going to get a lot worse when they get to the mat and discover that, rather than having a rest period, they have to keep racing.
The continuation is bad news for everyone else[sup]*[/sup], but good news for Kent and Vixsyn, since the alternative is elimination.
Or is it? There’s no reason they couldn’t eliminate the last team. They’ve been playing fast and loose with the 12-hour rule at the Pit Stop; this could be just like any regular Pit Stop but with a 0-hour rest.
- Well, bad news in the since that they were expecting to get a rest break, but it affects all teams equally so there’s no strategic signifigance to it.
And they might also discover they have a penalty for not taking the “required” flight at the beginning of the leg.
Oh, good point–I hadn’t thought about that. Did they show Pit Stop commentary footage from any team other than Kent & Vyxsin on this episode?
