Back in 2012, I started this thread about some of the amazing things we’ve tracked down here at SDMB.
There’s been a bunch since then, so I thought it would be fun to go at it again.
I was reminded of it when I saw this:
tallcoldone just tracked down a 4th grade text book for Arkcon in this thread.
So - what else have we found in the past few years?
I wouldn’t call it an *amazing *find, since it was just some intermediate-level Google-fu, but the first thing that came to mind was my tracking down the story behind this .GIF (which is itself sort of amazing) inquired about in this GQ thread.
This stupid Ewok made-for-TV movie that I had last seen when I was 6 (now 30+ years ago). The weird part is that I remembered the details almost perfectly. And that at least three Dopers knew the answer.

I was thinking about that one too, when I started this version of the thread. That was some solid research.
Did anyone ever find a manufacturer of new blankets with satiny edges?
