You might already be experiencing the McCullough Effect from something else you were exposed to earlier. There is no yellowish haze on the bars initially.

Don’t think so: I get the yellowish haze every time I look at this thing (I’ve tried several times over the past several days). And I’ve certainly not been staring at any other sets of bars set over colored backgrounnds.
Strangely, the haze is much more marked when I have my glasses on than when I have them off.
Anyway, I’ll try looking at it from a different computer next time.
