Amazon Marketplace question

[QUOTE=DCTrekkie]
Oh yeah, I looked at Amazon once and they take so many charges I don’t know how you can make a decent profit on anything. Perhaps he saw what the charges would be, and decided that wouldn’t leave him as much as he wanted. It’s still his problem, he chose to use Amazons services and he should have read the details properly. SNIP

Fee summary is here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=1161240

Basically, standard sellers pay Amazon $2.35 per sale plus 15% of the selling price.
From following the message boards over there, you’d be led to believe that several dozen people a day begin selling on Amazon without learning either what the fees are or the actual costs to ship most items.
You’re led to believe this because they show up in Amazon’s in-house forums cussing and hollerring about the whole thing…

Amazon is not going to get involved.

There’s really no way they could get involved. If they applied any pressure, he could just claim that he broke it, and that the other one he’s listing is a different version. Unless there’s a serial number involved, how could anyone prove differently? He could just say that he used the same listing and picture because he was lazy.
