I had one guy who did 42 different discrete drugs all at about the same time, and he did not explode.

Seriously folks, I’ve been treating addicts and alcoholics for over 30 years. I’ve even been clean and sober myself for well over 21 years. And my take-home message on the disease of addiction is that it really, really sucks. And it can take otherwise lovely people and turn them into seeming monsters.
Fortunately, many do recover. But not enough.

I am not basing the things that I say on my experiences with this (former) friend. At least not on the experiences alone. When I discovered that she was indeed a crackhead, I found myself submerged in research on the drug and it’s addiction and subsequent lifestyle that follows. This is information that is out there, if you want to find it. The link I gave in my OP is a great source of much information on the matter. Crack addicts are all* sexually promiscuous, they are all horny and they are all thieves and prostitutes. They might not resort to such drastic behavior earlier on in their addictions because they have someone taking care of them-someone they are conning or manipulating. Or they may be clinging to a job. But they will resort to these things eventually. The sex/crack connection is undeniable and inseparable.
*There are always exceptions to the rule but this is the rule.
What are you doing reading the Dope while smoking crack? Shouldn’t you be having sex? To quote professor Ambivalid’s OP:

You can believe what you read on the internet, but I have seen it in person. Crack smoking == orgy. People with jobs buy drugs with money, not with sex and not by pawning Grandma’s silver. Yes, some do steal, and prostitute themselves…Not all do. Just because you believe that all crackheads are sexually promiscuous does not make it true.
They will not all resort to this eventually. Some alcoholics will quit drinking before they drive drunk and kill someone. Some crackheads will recover before they become thieves and hookers.
And crack does not necessarily = horny. I know you read it on the internet and you “researched” it so it must be true. Continue to believe it if the sensationalism gets you going, but it’s not true.
