Ambivalid: I know a crackhead, so I'm professor of crackology now

I’m sickened. His source of info… :frowning: (cross-posted, by me):

Eeeeek. This info was cited by someone who revealed details about his patient population, and thanks to google, we now know where he works…not cool. America’s military deserves better than that.

This.

I’m not even a fan of the term “addict”…I would rather say “a person with an addiction,” because that person is more than just an addiction. And even though it may sound hokey, to me, there’s something about separating the label that allows for hope–like they can remember who they once were and could becoome.

Wow, way to justify this pitting.

The whole board is filled with people who refuse to believe there are shit loads of functional addicts out there for every substance, nope they are all teetering on the precipice at any moment they could turn to sucking a strangers cock for five dolla’.

Go over to a board like opiophile and marvel at the business owners and parents going about their daily lives while GASP addicted! And if an addict isn’t your typical stereotype well no true scotsman you know?

That bolded bit doesn’t mean a thing. Bloody hell, I would have sex with anybody. That isn’t quite the issue.

Hmmm. I have made a note of this. Please subscribe me to your newletter.

Subhuman, not subaltern.

Not that I agree. I’d far prefer if crackheads were treated with human dignity and simultaneously left to their own devices (mostly) in their underground crack dens. Or evil lairs, as they may dub them.

If there are exceptions then you can’t say all, now can you?

That aside, where are the studies that suggest that most/almost all crack heads are sexually promiscuous?

I have no dog in this fight - I only knew one person who did crack (that I remember) and he wasn’t addicted to it. I also haven’t researched the matter, so please present your studies so that I may peruse them.

Me too. I’m horny right now. Am I a crackhead?

Depends on your price.

Crack is a hell of a drug.

And drugs are a hell of a craic!

I’ve always thought Ambivalid aka Jamie is a form of troll. He posts crazy shit looking for affirmations or sympathy, but I think he knows damn well he won’t get it and gets off on the drama his threads always cause.

So he’s saying if I use this ‘crack’ substance I’ll get to have tons of sex?

You’ll do better if you get your prospective partners to use crack. That way you can remain a functional member of society, but your thralls will focus on nothing but rock and cock.

Never been tempted to try it, personally. I’m not saying I tried powder cocaine, but if I did, at no time did I think to myself “this is pretty good, but I wish it caused more uncontrollable cravings and didn’t last so long.”

Jeffrey Dahmer was going about this sex slave thing all wrong, wasn’t he? Crack, not lobotomies, Jeffrey.

I find it really interesting how stuff has played out in that thread. T

wo nights ago, majority rule seemed to be in line with the OP, and comments were personally attacking and “you are wrong because I have second hand experience” in nature. Comments were broad and vague and stereotypical.

Today, OP is a party of one and his statements are becoming much more flexible and not-so-absolute/extreme. The expertise is now much closer, in more direct experience (users, treatment providers), and more consistent with looking at the bigger picture.

For whatever it’s worth, it’s made me appreciate effective communication and a good debate, as well as how much this community values those factors needed to formulate a strong argument.

As did I. Remind me to stay the fuck out of Tuscon.

What’re you smokin?
