Well phooey. With no Breaking Bad or Mad Men, I don’t see AMC so didn’t know this was on. They should advertise this stuff somewhere.
So it’s kinda good?
When is this show on?
Sundays AMC 8/9 time might change when MM comes back next week. Premier looked good…setting it up and all.
Wait, Mad Men starts next week? I had no idea. (BTW, did you notice that everything good is on Sunday nights?)
It’s being repeated tonight, 10 or 11 p.m., depending on where you live.
I didn’t know Mad Men was coming back this week either.
And when did Sunday become the night for good drama? Did it start with The Sopranos? Or Ed Sullivan?
The new season of VEEP started last night, also.
So any verdict on Turn?
I liked it…giving it a couple more weeks .
I missed the premiere, but plan on watching it. I hope I can catch it OnDemand or rebroadcast. A friend of mine is in it for a couple of episodes.
I thought it was good- especially the relationship between Abraham and his (very) Loyalist father.
Caught it last night On Demand. The show had its moments & I’ll probably schedule it for Monday nights, resting from Sunday’s Portentous Events in Westeros & Modern Manhattan (or LA).
Sleepy Hollow has inspired me to read a bunch about the American Revolution. (This show is based on a book I haven’t read–it’s got mixed reviews.) So I’ll have some quibbles about details–this is supposed to be dramatized history, not fantasy. There are a few bright spots in the cast–like Burn Gorman, as the Not So Evil British Officer…
Well, this show just never went anywhere for me. The acting is over the top, dialog is often mumbled, and most of it is shot at night, probably to save on production values. The plot is just too convoluted for my liking, with characters popping up that I don’t remember seeing before. And I don’t like or care about the primary characters. You’re dead to me, Turn.
There is just something off about this show. I don’t know what it is but it’s a waste of time…
