Netflix has had “American Factory” on offer. It is about a GM plant in Ohio, which closed, and was bought by a Chinese company and turned into an automotive glass factory. Yes, it is about the (occasionally spectacular) collision between a Rustbelt-UAW mindset and the hyper-capitalist way of doing things from the People’s Republic - but it is so much more. It has 7 minutes of the best surrealist comedy in any documentary I’ve ever seen. Best enjoyed on 2 drinks.
