Props to Amanda for not changing the pronouns in this song. I hate when they do that. This kind of sounds typically her. Not the greatest song choice. I think I would have liked to hear her do “Run for Your Life.”
Okay, I’m surprised that I actually like Amanda this week.

Amanda seems to be a little more comfortable in her AI skin. And she sounds 100 times better. And it looks like the stylist was going very Janis. It worked. I don’t even mind her hair. Great show Amanda!
David H reminded me of a wedding singer, not kareoke. I’m not sure what the distinction is, actually, but there ya go.
Amanda saying “I’m going to speed it up, rock it, put my own Amanda spin on it y’know” showed that someone’s gotten their ego supersized! She did a good job at what she was trying to do with it, I just didn’t like what she was trying to do.
Black and white striped pants with black and white hair is just distracting. :rolleyes:

I liked Amanda’s treatment of this song. And the part about her putting an “Amanda” spin on it - I didn’t see that as ego, more of a self-deprecating apology-in-advance for mucking about with the song.
Wrong in the same way that Carly’s was. This song has a flowing, dreamlike tone to it, and his voice just doesn’t work for it.
