I think Brooke’s wholesome earnestness is going to kill me, I wanted to hate her but she’s not going along with the plan.
I thought Brooke could have done better. Maybe if she didn’t play the piano she could have concentrated more on sticking to the melody.
I like her because even though she has the wholesome image, she seems a little crazy.
I don’t think it was a great performance, but it was a very pretty and very sincere performance. I quite liked it. I think Brooke will be around for a while yet. She should really shine during country week (if there is one).
Because she’s blonde and virginal (allegedly) and bland and insipid and safe. In other words, Simon thinks she’s very commercial (and that she’d be easy to control). The Brooke Whites of the world are everything that corrodes popular culture. They are anti-creation.
Wow, I totally disagre with pretty much everyone on Brooke. I thought she was brilliant. I liked that she didn’t tart it up and sang it simply and, [pauler]with heart[/pauler].

Of course he sang “I Saw Her Standing There”. He saw her standing there with a dollar for his G-string.
I Saw Her Standing There…I’m gonna reveal my age here when I say that David’s version was about on the same cheesy level as Tiffany’s version.
I always sing this “How could I dance with her mother, when I saw her standing there.” And she wouldn’t dance with her brother in the second verse.
I’m not digging David H. Which is bad because I really like him. Only one leaves from now on right? He may be safe in that case.
Early prediction: David H (“I Saw Her Standing There”) goes home this week.
I missed the first three, but this has to be the worst so far. Right? What a disappointment, and I was rooting for him, too! :mad:

One word for David Hernandez - Karaoke. Not even very good karaoke.
Every time I see this dude perform now, I can’t help thinking of him giving nude lap dances at that gay club he supposedly worked at.
This is ok. Technically fine but ultimately forgettable.

I think I’ve figured out what I really dislike about most of these contestants–they don’t really know a damn thing about music. All they can do is sing. That’s why I really liked Blake last season–he worked on his own arrangements and was an actual music geek. David, on the other hand, seems to think it was endearing that he needed a course on “The Beatles 101.” Ugh.
Oooh, not good. Did not work at all.
Another meh. He just didn’t bring enough energy to it. It’s a great song, but he didn’t bring anything to it.
If he had said “I used to be a gay stripper” I would have voted for him all night.
So, um, how long does it take to get that out of your mind?
It sounds like David H was shooting for Rockabilly, but it ended up sounding like bad Country.
It’s a shame too because that song could have been awesome if he’d done it right.
