You realize this describes three guys in the wild card round? Duelling pianos guy made it. Shouty McShouterson and Ricky Bobby (who I liked) didn’t.

Anoop, Matt, Megan, and Jasmine made it.
Personally, I’d be okay with the stretching of the Top 12 - usually - but in such a weak year? And in order to include Jasmine (who was admittedly pretty decent tonight, but not exactly a gotta-have at this point)?
Maybe we’ll have a three-day week, performance Tuesday, performances and one person booted Wednesday, second person booted Thursday.
I wondered why Paula told Tatiana not to worry, she had a future as a singer or an actress. Then it hit me who Tatiana reminded me of – Monica Lewinski!
When she squatted in front of the judges, I actually thought they might have to drag her off.
All I could think of at the end of the show was that I bet if they told Tatiana they’d keep her in if she gave Seacrest a hummer live on national TV, she’d go down like a power window. Still, despite the crazy, that was the best rendition of that song she’s given them.
Jasmine- she wasn’t bad, but she wasn’t great. I think they should have told her to let her voice mature for a couple more years and try again. She’s not quite there yet.
Deuling Pianist is a tool but I thought he did an excellent job with that song.
Once you’re in the semi-final 36, you can’t compete again.
Tatiana was hillarious to watch, but I kind of feel about it since the whole experience really seems to screw up her head.
It’s the facetime given to the Tatianas of the world that made me swear off the audition round shows a few seasons ago.
In her (and the show’s) defense, though, I think she is a better singer than several in the Top [del]12[/del] 13.
IMHO - I think that Matt is actually #13, but they played out the drama with their fan favorite Anoop.
Before the show I told my wife that the top 3 would be Jasmine, Anoop, and Megan. I said this because we’ve seen Simon over-praising all three;

So, those three were pre-selected going into the show, 'cause Simon really is the KING. But then Matt shows up and blows them away - he was definitely better vocally than Anoop. So, what to do? Hence #13.

The best thing about Megan is that she dances like her feet are nailed to the floor. That’ll be fun to watch for a while.
A pretty lackluster group, IMHO. Lil Rounds at this point looks head and shoulders above the rest. Anoop should last 8-10 weeks just on personality. Tatiana sang better than most of the 13 last night, but even AI can’t deal with the prospect of having to throw a net over her to get her off the stage. I think she got more post-elimination camera time than any contestant in AI history. All the rest are pretty forgettable.
They knew they were going to 13 before the show started. I doubt they made that kind of decision on the spot, and Matt didn’t show any more than he already had in Hollywood.
