Seriously, thank god… i couldnt stand him and his inability to annunciate.
That being said, I respected his going out performance. I thought his composure, as well as the support of the rest of the cast was commendable. I like seeing stuff like that rather than all of them crying on stage. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to perform after being voted off, and I thought his rendition was way better than when he did it earlier in the season.
At this point, I don’t really care who wins anymore - they are all different, and have different genres so it doesn’t make much difference. I would imagine they all have a foot in the door to whatever style of music they do and could go on to do well.
This has to make it easier for the final contestants, knowing that they are so different that it is almost no longer a competition of vocal talent as it is a polling of what kind of music is currently popular with the voters.
Paul was all flash but a decent Rod Stewart clone, so he will do well touring the lounges.
Where do you get that he’s conflicted? Has he talked about lusting after women? Or is it just because you cannot reconcile him being gay and religious?
I’m pretty excited about Paul’s departure, but I find this season that I’m more interested in voting people off than in voting for a winner. What’s up with that? I can’t wait for Stefano to go. I’m done with Casey. Scotty makes me stabby. I actually don’t mind if Jacob sticks around for a while, because I think there’s good trainwreck potential there. Also, did you see that TMZ ran a story about his recent jail time?
That’s it - it looked like classic overcompensation.
I should say, though, that I’m reconsidering my cracks about his conflicted status - I think he is terribly conflicted about his religion and his sexuality, and I think that must be very hard for him. I wish him the best of luck in figuring it out and being happy with himself.
I still think he can’t sing very well and I don’t want to watch him on tv.
I’m confused… why is he a complete idiot? Because he didn’t pay for the Metro. blew off his court date for that ticket, talked the judge into ending probation, sang to the inmates while he was locked up, or declared his gratitude? I’m going to guess that it’s because he didn’t show up for his court date, even though “complete idiot” seems incredibly excessive for a very minor error.
A minor, completely avoidable error (“error” really doesn’t seem like the right word here) that could have prevented him from participating on American Idol.
I think Stefano will continue to get by the skin of his teeth for another couple weeks. His looks are the out of the same mold that got Aaron Kelly, Kris Allen, David Archuleta to the top five the last three years.
They have to get the 10/11 yr old vote and the Granny votes to keep advancing.
I think it’s possible he could have a great career - as I mentioned before, I think he’s the best performer of this year’s bunch; singing is part of the equation, but performing is possibly even more important. It doesn’t hurt that he’s pretty hot, too.
I agree. I may or may not ever buy one of his songs, but I’d go see him live. I love the way he dances. Those long skinny legs of his going every which way just makes me smile. And his smile is so infectious. and white…really white!
