There are a lot of people who don’t like Clay and Kim and Tenyce for whatever reasons, but very few people say they don’t like Roooooben
I do like and want Ruben to win, he’s just that huggable looking.
Lately, though, I find myself hoping for Kim L. She’s fighting stereotypes (just as Ruben is) as she also does not look like the average stick thin model. I find myself surprised by the fact that she is such a strong singer, impressed by improvements in her style and I’m beginning to notice the work she is obviously putting into this competition.
I am a Ruben gal myself. But I, too, am liking Kimberly more and more. I was very relieved to see Josh in the bottom 3 last week. I was nervous it would be him and his twang and his ugly grimaces just because he’ s a marine.
If I were a betting man, I’d pick Ruben but I hope Clay wins.
Ruben will win and it won’t be close.
Clay has Kimberly Locked to compete with for second, though I think Clay will hold on.
This season doesn’t seem to have the drama and competition as last season did.
I mean, Justin, Kelly and Tamyra were all in the running to win last year, but I really don’t think anyone’s got a chance to top Ruben right now. Not even Clay.
I also think long-term, Ruben’s got more potential than Kelly, and is a better performer/singer. Kelly’s good, but faced off against Ruben, I think she’d lose.
Soooo, last season was more interesting to watch because the competition was tighter, but I think this season’ll produce a better Idol.

don’t diss my girl Kelly! She’s got some pipes. I heard her new CD “Thankful” and it’s pretty good.
I think it’ll probably be Ruben but Clay does have a HUGE fan following so you never know…
um, but I will be purchasing the compilation CD that comes out regardless of who wins…
I want Kimbo or clay to win. Any of them as long as its not Ruben. I cant stand that guy. I havent a clue what people see in him. Sorry guys…
No matter who wins the competition, the finalists in the top 3 or so will probably still get tons of offers for record deals and TV slots and stuff. The winner (I’m predicting Roooooben even though Clay is very talented too) will get the record deal and the promotions and stuff, but the other finalists will still be set.

And Clay should seriously hit Broadway. He is fantastic, but not a pop star. Close your eyes the next time you listen to him. He is ten times better. It’s those damn ears.
I just don’t care. I don’t want any of them to win and put out a crummy album.
And the sad part is that I’m an obsessive fan of the show and never miss it. And I loooove Kelly.
It’ll be between Rueben and Clay. I’m routing for huggy bear myself!
I would agree that Ruben sort of spoils the competition. I don’t think he’s guaranteed - Kimberley Locke has outperformed him big time the last two weeks, and if he allows it to continue you never know - but he’s still 60, 70 percent likely to win it all.
Five years from now, if anyone from this show will be a star, it’ll be someone from this year’s show. Ruben, Clay, Kimberley Locke and Josh Gracin (as a country star) could all carve out a successful career. Kelly Clarkson can sing but she’s not going to last; there’s nothing whatsoever about her to hold anyone’s interest. Totally indistinguishable from the battalion of pop divas out there. They’ll get a big album out of her, the runnerup will flop, and she’ll be history.
