I am watching the American Music Awards. The hosts are the Osbournes.
Usually I hate award shows but I love Ozzy so I decided to watch.
With the exception of the intro from the Osborne family, where they got beeped for cussing, I find that Sharon and Kelly are way more natural and relaxed than the other presenters. Sharon and Kelly seem to be relaxed and excited. I am really suprised because Kelly is doing a damned good job as a host. She is controlled and articulate yet she seems to be really into what she is doing.
When I found out that the Osbornes were hosting this award show I thought it might turn into a blood bath. So far it hasn’t.
I am really impressed with the Osbornes. Is anyone else?

The only thing I watched were various musical performances and I thought the sound sucked. I could barely hear Kelly singing, not to mention Toby Keith and Willie Nelson.
Anybody else notice this?
I really struggle with American music awards in general nowadays - of any sort actually - with the exception of The Grammys. The rest of them, well, they’re so common they’re being handed out like cheap candy nowadays. They’re simply sustained publicity fests, designed to whip up even more publicity for those “who have already made it”.
Even though The Grammy’s aren’t the absolute litmus test in quality - they at least remain imbued with some sort of prestige.
The others? Blech… to quote Shakespeare… much ado about nothing.
