Yeah! Another “cycle” of ANTM.
But is it me, or is this the ugliest bunch yet? And I have to say that for as much posturing as Tyra does about people picking on her weight and calling her fat, she picked a whole crop of stick women (except for the one or two that are seemingly “fat” compared to the hangers around them).
Has anyone picked a winner yet? I like Renee and hate Jael - hope she gets the boot very soon.
Every season I think they’re the ugliest bunch yet. Let’s see them in a few weeks when they’re a little more polished.
I didn’t get a good sense of each of the 13 finalists’personalities, but my early favorite is Natasha.
I didn’t realize this had resumed. I’ll need to be sure to remember to tape the repeat next week and then get it on the DVR schedule (for my wife, you see…)
I’m amazed at how good Renee looks for having had a kid 7 months prior to taping.
But I agree, they’re a pretty fugly bunch. I think sometimes Tyra just likes to surround herself with girls who are less attractive than she is to make herself feel better.
I don’t think the Russian girl is ugly. She’s just a major bitch.
And the photographer is cute. She just needs to stop bragging so much.
The dark-haired girl who wore the fur has a nice look.
And the girl who almost got voted off yesterday doesn’t seem too bad either, even if she talks like she’s drunk and stoned.
But the Russian chick and the Rebecca girl…they gots to go! Which means they’ll make it to the final three.
I think Sarah (blonde photographer girl) is gorgeous. I hope she end up being more tolerable soon. There’s no way she’s going to win, though, starting on top like that.
I love Samantha (brunette with thick eyebrows, gay marriage photoshoot) too. I think she’ll be gorgeous post-makeover.
Whitney (plus-size black girl) seems pretty awesome too. She seems to be more living-in-reality than lots of girls.
I think a lot of these girls are very pretty. Some desperately need makeovers (Jael, the ugly one who auditioned last cycle, the decent-looking one with the sewn-in wig and weird bangs, Felicia, Brittany, and Natasha, particularly)
The photoshoot was weird because I thought the concept was okay (I mean, people actually do become spokesmodels for poilitical causes) but the execution was terrible. Like how are you supposed to look pro-choice? How are you supposed to convey anti-death-penalty by standing in a jail cell?

and I think the ugly Latina girl who auditioned last year is uuuuuugly, but I haven’t decided whether I like her anyway or not.
Sarah’s my early favorite. I think she’d look so cute in a pixie-style haircut, which means Tyra will probably put her in long black extensions with heavy bangs. I hope Sarah gets a clue about humility though.
Both Whitney and Diana, the plus-size girls, are also at the top of my early list. Diana, though, strikes me as being a bit more regal in posture. But she also seems to be a bit more unsure of herself than Whitney and will probably be eliminated first.
I was sort of hoping that the girl who got cut last night could have stayed long enough to have done the make-over. When she had her hair in that giant powderpuff, that was kind of cute. The way she wore it the rest of the time, though, Ugh! I would have loved to see what a professional would have done with her. Of course, that would have meant putting up with her grating personality for longer than necessary, so it probably best she went so soon.
