Amusing Signs

There certainly have been misleadingly named ballot propositions in CA. There also have been misleadingly named organizations behind those propositions. And propositions where the meaning of voting in favor or against is the opposite of what it seems at first glance.

Seems to me the sign is a homemade spoof of all that oughta-be-illegal shenanigans.

I drove past this place a few days ago. I wonder what the story is. They couldn’t be bothered or couldn’t afford to correct the error? Or they haven’t noticed it?? The Google Maps history shows that the sign was installed sometime in early 2022.

The first school district I worked in had a number of legal issues because, quite frankly, some of their administrative level people were breaking the law. The biggest transgression involved the Treasurer being arrested for stealing quite a bit of money.

The teachers’ work room had cubby holes filled with various different forms and worksheets teachers might use for various subjects. The math cubby hole was labeled, “Graft paper.” LOL

I wonder if it’s like Smedberg’s Crystal Spring Farm stand in Oxford, Maine…home of the LOBESTER.

I wonder if the owner maybe has English as a second language (if that), and if his first language maybe uses a different script? If you don’t actually read the letters, it’s easy to miss that they’re in a different order.

Or maybe some guy named Geoerg ordered that sign and their orders got mixed up, like Kermit trying to buy a tshirt:
