An apology to Stoidela

I just popped over to GD for a bit of perusement, and I find two threads right at the top of the page… “Why do people hate sex work?” and “Life after Death? (Near death experience)”, respectively… sitting at the very top. Both interest me, so I pop in. I read through the OP (one of them had no responses), and then type out my own responses.

Then I go back to the main GD listing, and that’s when I noticed the starter for both those threads… Stoidela.

“Well, heck,” I think to myself, “I’ve just been bashing her in a Pit thread for the past few days… and I just read two posts of hers which I found interesting?”

“Something must be wrong.”

I figured, “That something must be me.”

So, Miss Stoid, I offer you an apology for overreacting towards you, and stereotyping you based on a few of your political beliefs. While I don’t agree with you on many things, that doesn’t mean I have to automatically oppose EVERYthing you post.

SO-O-O-O-O… I’ll contest with you in gun threads and Dubya/Gore threads, no doubt about that, but I see no reason why I can’t side with you on other topics.

Again, I apologize for my behavior.

What’s this world coming to? If the SPOOFEr can acknowledge that Stoidela may occasionally have her good points - not too long after yours truly said complimentary things about Freedom2 - how’re we ever going to get any good flame fights going around here? :wink:

I accept your apology. And I want you to know that you have gained tremendous respect from me for offering it, and offering it so publicly. Very few people have the personal integrity to do such a thing, even when they know they should. You are alright, dude.
