I would like to point out that the “Bye , Opal” memorial thread has, so far, reached 13,800 views-all in barely 15 hours since the first, sad, post.
This appears to be a record for the most views in such a short time.
For someone who hated short lists of two items----- 13,800 is an appropriately long list of admirers.
Not everyone knew her, but everyone knew of her.
