It’s my own stupid fault for leaving back door open.
They didn’t get anything and to be honest I think they got more of a fright than I did. Fucking pricks! I called the local constabulary and they swiftly arrived. Witness saw a young fellow running from the scene. I’m just glad my mother wasn’t here. Tomorrow, I make the perimeter more secure. The last year or so has seen a whole lot of burglaries in my area. This past summer I saw local cops dragging a miscreant out of our front garden. He’d been breaking into a neighbour’s house.
Time to buy a big dog.
Had the same thing happen to me a few years back. Glad everything was ok.
Scary! Glad everyone and everything is OK.
But I’d just like to add, “constabulary” is such a great word!
Glad nothing was stolen and everyone is safe. I have an irrational level of hatred for people who deliberately destroy other folks’ feelings of security.
SOS - Sawed off shotgun
Amusing username/post combo.
Seriously though, glad no one was hurt & nothing was missing.
What’s the plan for making the perimeter more secure?
My dog was AWOL for the duration. I dunno if she took a fright and hid in the trees or what.
Ha, well technically s/he didn’t steal anything that I can see.
TBH, the main reason they were in was a stupid error on my own part, back door open, I never worry about it much when I’m in the house. With that locked it’s way harder to get in, especially with someone in the house, and not get noticed.
I’m replacing the gate between front yard and back tomorrow with a more secure one. Going to try to persuade my mother to invest in alarm system too, although I doubt alarm would have been on at this time of day anyway. I was only downstairs a couple of minutes before the fuckpig came in.
Must be time time for it.
I found a bloke in my garden (30 metres down the driveway, through the gate, around the back of the house) who claimed to be after a drink of water. Why that entailed a tromp through the flower garden next to my window leaving footprint sized patches of crushed vegetation, he couldn’t explain.
He should be in court as we speak, thanks to the prompt action of my local constabulary.
Security is usually good, but now even better at my place.
Yea but did you get any good loot before they came home?
What does An Gadai mean?
I think that was a reference to Omar Little, a shotgun-wielding character from The Wire.
Ah, thanks.
Glad to hear you’re OK, An Gadai.
Holy shit! I’m glad you’re all right.
It means “The Thief” in Irish.
Ha, I didn’t clock that, thought muldoon was referring to my username.
Oh, indeed.
