In “An Officer and a Gentleman”, one of the main reasons that Syd drops out is because Lynette is supposedly pregnant. The movie is unclear so I’m taking a poll. Do you believe that Lyneete was pregnant or was it all a ruse?

Lynette told both Syd and Mayo that “she got her period” that day. She never admits that it was a ruse.
Well, she magically “got her period” after Syd told her that she wouldn’t be an officer’s wife, but rather the wife of the dude who works at Sears. Given that they made it a point to mention that this was a common practice, I’d say that the implication was pretty clear.
Yeah, nothing unclear about it. Ruse.
Lynette has no credibility on the issue, so I went with “no”, barring evidence otherwise.
