Obviously, I can personally verify that the “victim” is (was) an actual person.
The problem I have with it is that both of these people are obviously mentally ill, and perhaps with professional help could have been made healthy. I’d believe this even if I hadn’t known one of them.
But, the thought that keeps coming to mind is this; what if the joy he felt having this done to him was greater than any healthy activity a sane person might experience? Do we have the right to deny him that joy?
I first heard the story in December, when a friend sent me this BBC News link, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/2569095.stm. That link doesn’t have as many of the details as Revtim’s does, but it’s the same story.
Yes, Munich’s quite correct. The press over here obviously paid it quite a lot of attention, and it definitely happened.
From what I know the details of the article you linked to were quite correct … I haven’t heard anything about what happens now, I did a bit of research but it seems they are still investigating the case.

I remember this story coming up on the “News of the Weird” site a few weeks ago. Which mentioned, by the way, that everyone who’s seen the video has had to undergo therapy.
At least … I hope it’s the same story. And not just a similar one.
Yeah, those poor guys earned their pay that day. One of the articles states “Law officers who have seen the video made by the suspect of the final moments of his victim’s life were said to be undergoing psychiatric counselling.”

Being somewhat of a Germaniac in nature, every friend I have sent me an email of this story when it broke a few months ago…from several different sources. It freaked me out then, it freaks me out now.
Who wants to bet this video will somehow make it online?
I bet the webmasters of steak and cheese and rotten are itching to get there hands on a copy.

Reminds me of something similar I came across on a well-known gay chat room. One particular guy’s chat profile plainly stated that he had tried everything else in an effort to get himself off, and was now looking for the ultimate thrill. Namely, for someone to kidnap and kill him.
From the wording on the profile, I don’t think for one minute he was joking. To say it creeped me out would be somewhat of an understatement. After reporting it to the monitors, the last I heard was that they had deleted the profile, and were “investigating” further.

The gay sex cannibal story was on another 'board I frequent. Lots of the usual “ewwww” and “wtf” all that stuff Someone posted the obligitory “what the hell is wrong with these people”, and someone replied.
He posted anonymously. He said he didn’t know what was wrong with those people, but understood it, because he was one of those people. He has fantasies just like the situation in Germany. I hate to say this, but judging from the victim’s picture, he looks a bit of a nebbish. I also hate to mention this, but was the severed penis raw or cooked?
One thing you can say about the murderer, he was honest about his intentions. I think that’s part of what makes it so bizarre. That and the whole, “eating a penis” thing.
I thought for sure the headline was just a teaser and this would be a story about pulling the usable parts from your old computer before throwing it in the garbage.
