An online recording of my guitar being brilliantly played - by someone else...

I bought an 8-string guitar earlier this year, and part of its history was that it had been built by one of the luthiers at the Twelfth Fret for Lorne Lofsky. The fellow from whom I bought it sent me this link today - The Ed Bickert/Lorne Lofsky Quartet in concert, Feb. 20, 1984. My best guess is that it’s Lorne playing on the right, and who takes the first solo most of the time.

Plays it a helluva lot better than I do, too. (Well, okay, they both do!) I’d better go practice…

Well, after the third number, the announcer even says it’s Lorne on the right, Ed on the left.

Nice to be right every now and then…

aah I really want to watch it but i dont have the quicktime plugin… (any videos of you floating around on youtube?)

Here’s one of Lorne, but he’s playing a totally different (6-string) axe. Calendula

Ed can be seen and heard here - Do Nothing 'til You Hear from Me

There’s nothing of me - I haven’t even got a camera yet. Sometime in the next year…
