I seem to have cancelled too late and now I’m stuck paying for april, so we have the server for another month.
Let’s make the most of it and start having more regular games.
A few regulars usually get a game going every night - contact me on AIM (senorbeef 00) or yahoo (senorbeef) and I’ll let you know when they start every night.
My new computer components should come tomorrow. Withany luck I’ll be ready togo sometime late on Sunday. If anyone is interested,I got a X850 XT with 256MB DDR2. Oooh yeaaaah.
I really want to get a game in with you guys before it all goes bye-bye.
Right now, it’s 5pm on Friday afternoon - if my memory serves me correctly, that means that around 10am tomorrow, it will be Friday night where most of you are. Reckon you could do a Friday night game with me?
Max.
Awww crap! I’ve got from being ranked somewhere on the ninth page to being on the 22nd! :smack:
It’s another public holiday here on Monday, so I will definitely join you for the regular sunday night thing. I’ll also try to join at nights after work. What time was it the other night when I found you all on a zombie hunt?
Max.
The stats are screwy. I deleted and recompiled the whole database, but the calculation of some stuff was quite clearly wrong - it listed my kill streak at 5, for instance, which may have been true for the last session I played, but certainly not for all time.
So, what is the story? What is involved with a server for us? Does it really need a lot of horse power? I think that I could put together a working machine with the parts that I have laying around, but it for sure wouldn’t be high end, I don’t know but I may be able to get my motherboard with the 2.8 ghz chip running again. I could at least run something that is a 1.4 ghz processor. If I did, what else is involved in hosting? I do have a high speed connection.
I just looked and it is empty at the moment. We generally get a surge of players in the mornings and evenings. Myself and a friend are the founding members of the clan that goes all the way back to Allied Assault.
We’re pretty good, as far as non hackers go, and we like to keep the server more adult oriented. The average age of the clan members is about 25. We really make a concerted effort to stop the hackers out there and I’d say we were above average in that mission.
Some of us will be on in the morning after we get off work. My Alias is Eats Crayons[RR] (yes, shamelessly stolen from an admired doper name). LoSpeedHiDrag[RR] and I should be on all morning along with several other clan members.
