Anal Doctor warns: Do not use wet wipes. I have so many questions

Are those the ones where you clamp down and you receive FM stereo?

sooooooooooo…

Where did we land?

I feel like the general consensus is that washing your B-hole is probably generally fine, and bidets are probably generally ok, and using flushable wipes are probably generally fine.

Is this correct?

That Piezoelectric unwelcome surprise is what helps Paltrow to change facial expressions.

Except that everyone who knows about sewage says there aint no such thing as “flushable wipes”.

So to be correct, using flushable wipes is OK. Flushing them is not.

BINGO! :poop:

Lol!!

Proctologist is an old term. The current nomenclature is gastroenterologist. Or ass man.

The specialty of proctology was subsumed under colon and rectal surgery long ago, though it would appear that osteopathic MDs have, um, been muscling into the arena.

“Along with neuromusculoskeletal medicine, proctology is a uniquely osteopathic specialty. This is because the allopathic medical profession years ago absorbed the role previously performed by proctologists into the specialty of colorectal surgery. Becoming a colorectal surgeon requires completing a five-year general surgery residency followed by a one-year fellowship in colon and rectal surgery, of which the ACGME lists 55 programs.”

“In contrast to the six years required for colorectal surgery, the two AOA-approved proctology residencies are three-year programs. Osteopathic proctologists do surgical procedures in the anus and rectum and perform colonoscopies, but they don’t perform colectomies, colostomies and other major gastrointestinal surgical procedures.”

And as we know, anal MDs are a proud bunch.

And possibly a little obsessive/ compulsive.

Osteopaths are not MDs.

Actually DOs are medical doctors and are considered so by licensing bodies in the United States. Equivalent educations and skills and are essentially interchangeable.

Homeopaths ARE a whole other ball game.

Yeah, but the osteopaths are DO’s and the allopaths are MD’s. The title holders generally prefer you use the title they actually earned.

I’ll go to either in the US, although I slightly favor DO’s for a general practitioner (my current guy is a DO).

" I cannot believe she pushed me out of there and I’VE NEVER BEEN THE SAME.

Technically osteopaths are not doctors of medicine and are not allowed to practice as traditional medical physicians. DOs are considered doctors and practice as medical doctors. A genuine distinction. Per Wikipedia.

Not in the United States. “Osteopath” in the US refers to DO’s. I do realize in most of the rest of the world the word means a form of alternative medicine.

US DO’s are recognized as “medical physicians” in many other nations.

Per wikipedia, which distinguishes between “osteopath” and “osteopathic medicine in the United States”

Awright, osteopathic physicians. Jeez, picky picky picky.

Just stay away from osteopaths who claim anal health depends on regular “adjustments”.

Yahoo articles are just click bait

Crack Quack?

What, not “tushie doctor”?

When my son was 6, he developed encopresis.

We were referred to a pediatric gastroenterologist. When I took him in, I said to him “This is Dr. such-and-such; he’s the tushie doctor”.

The doctor glared at me and said “Well, we won’t be inviting YOU back any more!” (he was joking, I think).

He did not have any opinion on the use of wet wipes, however.
