Ancient Aliens? Possible or bullshit?

I believe the Egyptians were out of the stone age by this time. I was think that advanced aliens would have engines to drag the stones up the ramps, laser cutters for the stones, and who knows, maybe tractor beams. You wouldn’t need a lot of human labor near by. I assume you were not saying the aliens would stay in the campsite - I’m sure they have their space RVs, just like in Spaceballs.

The outside of the pyramid used to be cased in limestone. Cite so there was no reason to make the outside smooth. I don’t recall the inside - at least the part I was able to touch, being very smooth or the least bit startling. In any case the chambers are relatively small and if you think any stone can be smoothed, could be also.
I was lucky enough to go before the country fell apart. Going down there involve a walk down a steep ramp leaning back because of lack of headroom. Even my daughter, younger, shorter and in better shape than me found it stressful. Cool thing to do, though.

The best way to look at this is to pretend archaeologists 3500 years from now are sifting through present-day artifacts. They find evidence we left junk on the moon. Writing about seeing the deepest part of the ocean. Traveling so fast that you outrun the sound of your plane’s engine. Bombs that can vaporize entire cities. Ruins of bridges and towers unfathomably immense.

To these future historians, it might seem impossible for such primitive humans to accomplish such feats. Particularly since late twentieth century people suddenly started writing about aliens a lot- alien abductions, stories, speculation.

Of COURSE the Moon Landing wasn’t a hoax! Aliens helped get us to the moon :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh dear, score one for the pedantic. Yes, strictly speaking I am not an “engineer”, even though I worked in a mechanical engineering trade.
However, that doesn’t change the fact that I am interested in how things work and are made.

BTW, I don’t think I started that thread, but I could be wrong, so no need to go mining the archives to prove me incorrect.

Obviously the stone could be smoothed, as it is. What I want to know, is how it was done.
It was extremely smooth, and the chamber was not that small, though in the pyramid I went in there was only one chamber we were able to go in, so if you saw more than one chamber, perhaps it was a different pyramid.

No need for aliens, recent evidence and research shows that less people than previously estimated was needed to build the great pyramid and clever use of ramps made it also likely that the time needed to build it was not as long as some assume.

This is stoner television, pure and simple. This is the type of shit you watch when you get high with your friends and want something “deep” to talk about , man.

When the Nommos return, you will all be sorry!

He’s proof there are aliens - he’s related to the Centauri ambassador Londo.

I’ve seen several episodes and appreciate it for introducing me to some amazing places. The ancients really did create some mind-boggling structures, in terms of engineering and purpose.

What is so eye-rolling for me is that they try to connect aliens to every single thing that has ever happened in the history of the planet (volcanos! the flood! the founding fathers!).
