And Maryland makes four (political candidates mailing lists)

I do some political volunteer work from time to time, mostly door-to-door canvassing.

Sometimes I stay in my home state of NY, but we haven’t exactly had competitive presidential or Senate races lately, so I have been in PA the last three even-numbered year elections. I have helped out in a couple of other states too.

Not surprisingly I am on several candidate email lists–my own representative; the guy running in the district that starts about 3 miles north of here; a couple of PA representatives.

Lately that list has been mushrooming. I started hearing from a House candidate in Illinois last week, and this week I got several fundraising missives from somebody running in MD; I must admit I’m not quite sure what she is running for yet.

No, I haven’t given any of them any money (and probably won’t, as finances are tight right now).

Whaddaya think? Should I aim for all fifty states, or will my inbox (or head) explode first?
