To all my fellow Dopers; “friends” and “foes”, liberals and conservatives, gays and straights, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, Atheists, Agnostics etc., with whom I’ve battled alongside and against (mostly the latter ;)) and to the administrators & moderators who run the place while putting up with criticism from the likes of … people like me - and to the Chicago Reader who sponsored the whole shebang: thanks for all the good times. I will not soon forget this place.

You should go to Zev or CMKeller. They’re both more insightful and far less arrogant and condesending with their replies on questions about Judaism.
I’m with Finagle. If you ain’t willing to pony up five bucks for this place, then good riddance.
Well, I don’t agree with his religious beliefs (his or anyone else’s for that matter) but I asked some specific questions on Jewish ritual once, and he was in the know. He definitely made life interesting around here.
Shouldn’t have put it in the Pit then. I wouldn’t have posted to a thread in MPSIMS. But since it’s the Pit, I feel free to voice my opinion that he’s an ass and I won’t miss him. While I’ll admit he could make a good point sometimes, mostly he was a reactionary, judgemental asshole.
