I just flipped over the channel and saw the 11th doctor… Erm, I’ve immediately taken a dislike to this guy.

Well, that was unexpected.
Looks a bit like Chase from House, MD in Ximenean’s link. Not at all crazy about the other photos I’ve seen.
Hrm. Doesn’t seem like he has the acting chops that the others have; that can be a good or bad thing. He’s been alongside Billy Piper a good bit- but that shouldn’t make a difference, really, since we should’ve seen the last of Rose (no offense intended, but that should read: Please, dear god, let us have seen the last of Rose). I’ll hold onto an opinion til I’ve seen what they do with the character- there are a lot of changes in addition to the Doctor, so we’ll just have to see how everything gels.

I really was hoping they’d choose someone a bit older than Tennant. I mean, I actually adore David Tennant’s Doctor but he’s as young as the Doctor should be.
DT is a few years older than Peter Davison was, if you see what I mean. PD was 29 when he started.
I’m not even the type of oldskool fan to get upset about such things, and I’m disturbed by how young this guy is. It’s going to be extremely hard to get excited over a Doctor that I could have babysat for.
Tennant is the perfect age - young enough to have the energy, but old enough to project that world-weary personality which the Doctor really requires. He talks about pain, and loss, and heartbreak, and you believe that he’s actually experienced such things outside of, y’know, getting ditched by his prom date.
