Um, NSFW
Not bad, but the competition is strong.
The F bomb loses its impact if it gets over used. I nominate The Who’s “Who Are You” for it’s precision strike: “Who the f*** are you!?”
I’ll nominate Liz Phair’s “Chopsticks”:
He said he liked to do it backwards
I said, “That’s just fine with me,
That way we can fuck and watch TV.”
Candy And A Currant Bun - Pink Floyd
For the totally surprising, casual and literal use. That was in 1967. Pioneers of a sort, but they were anyway
Dinosaur Jr. Freak Scene
The rather plaintive plea at the end:
Admittedly, the video I linked to somewhat undermines the poignancy of the quoted line…
Stepchild-MYOFB (Mind Your Own Fuckin Business)
Skid Row-Get the Fuck Out
Nobody remembers Terence and Philip?
I was torn between thinking that song was lyrically very clever and thinking that guy comes across as an insufferable douchebag, hipster flavor. Forget the enormous waxed moustache. Who films their performance in front of a rack of suits?
My vote goes to Warren Zevon, for My Shit’s Fucked Up.
I had just started high school when that song came out (and Keith Moon died). Whenever it came on the radio, we’d gather around just to hear That Word at the end of the song; yup, it was played uncensored back then too.
Hmmm, I’d always assumed that it was please just fork with me, which provides plausible deniability since they are talking about food, while merely intending to imply the F bomb but apparently I’m wrong. And at any rate the song would have been pioneering in another way under its original title, Let’s Roll Another One.
Oh, and for an early one (at least for America, I just learned myself that Pink Floyd were the first to drop the bomb in England), there’s Show Biz Kids by Steely Dan.
Harry Nilsson’s “You’re Breaking My Heart..” The cheery tune gives it impact.
I’d give a nod to Odds for the trolliest entry for Wendy Under the Stars, whose chorus contains the very sweetly sung “I was Fucking Wendy under the stars, the night that Elvis died”, which, by its melody and tempo, seems so innocuous that I often almost sung it to myself at work when I first heard it.

Supersuckers
“Run Like A Motherfucker”
And of course, I say Fuck!
Raises devil horns in Typo Negative’s general direction
First one that came to me, as well. That is the best of a non-gratuitous F-bomb in a song. Just gold.
