And the next Dr Who will be…

… Eddie Izzard! ( at least according to Tom Baker - Dr #4)

The next Dr. Who should be Tim Roth. He’d be perfect. I think it would make a fabulous, fabulous Hollywood spectacular - take the old theme music and get it done with a big orchestra, CGI’d Daleks, some new Hollywood hottie as his assistant (Kiera Knightley would be a good choice) the works.

I think including the Daleks could present a continuity problem.Skaro, their homeworld, was obliterated by a supernova caused by the Hand of Omega. The Hand then destroyed Davros and his Dalek Invasion Fleet. Earth date circa 23 November 1963.

Me.

The next Doctor will be me.

I awake from my regeneration-

“Well, let’s see what I’ve got this time around. Wait a minute. What’s wrong with my voice? NO! It . . .can’t . . . be! I’ve come back as a Yank!”

“All those years of studying the King’s English and learning to roll my r’s-gone. On the upside, I now have a whole new reason to talk down to my companions. After all, I’m an American and they’re not.”

Tim Roth was a pretty good suggestion actually.

It depends on whether they decide to entirely reboot the show and start with an old Doctor - in which case, Ian Richardson should get the gig. If they carry on with an eighth or ninth incarnation of the original Doctor (they may exclude the Paul McGann movie), they’ll be looking for someone in their early to mid thirties.
