RICHARD!!!
Um…what am I missing?
Kellibelli,
You are evil!! Do you know the west coast hasn’t seen it yet??
Susan’s speech was the best TV I’ve seen in years!
Great show!
[Pardon the exclamations, but damn, it was good!]
Sue sounded like a sore loser.
The heck with sore loser, Sue is a B*TCH!!
Sue - gag. puke. spit.
Would let Kelly die of thirst ?
I smell jealousy.
I turned away for a minute and the next thing I know they were up to Gervase’s vote. Voting for Kelly, he talked a big-time bitch-smack about Sue. What did she do to Kelly, besides betray her at the end?
Let me guess… this is a Space Ghost thing, isn’t it?
I think that’s what Gervase’s problem with Sue was. She sunk so low and he called her on it. She is not without blame here, though. Sue had tried to screw over Kelly and Richard at one point and lied JUST LIKE KELLY. So she was just bitter. Great speech, though.
If you saw the reunion after, it looked like Kelly wanted to kill Sue. I sensed some leftover anger there.
I know it’s only a TV show, but I didn’t want to know who won. I wanted to see it. That’s why I didn’t get into this thread or any other “spoiler” thread.
So about 30 minutes before the show, I’m looking at the “wanted” section over at e-bay. Some guy wants yearbooks, another wants baseball cards, then: “SURVIVOR… RICH!”
NO chance to avoid it. There is was. No way to avoid it.
Sack.
Residual anger at Sue?
Sue cost Kelly A MILLION BUCKS, I woulda cut her throat.
Kelli, Oh I would’ve been pissed, too! Although if Kelly had just picked 8, 9 or 10, she would have won. Greg is a hoot.
Johnny LA, That sucks. I tried to avoid every newspaper, entertainment show, news program and magazine, just in case. I didn’t even want to know what challenges they would have.
I also realize it’s just a TV show, but my Wednesday nights just won’t be the same. I think I’ll just be staring at a blank TV screen clutching a blankie and whimpering like a puppy.
I would’ve lost too. When someone asks me to choose a number between 1 and 10, I usually pick pi or the sqaure root of two; neither one closer to 9 than Rich’s guess. (Although Greg might have voted for me anyway because I picked an irrational number.)
Sue was bitter because she wasn’t in the final two. I thought her speech was hilarious but uncalled for. I was really hoping that Sue or Rudy would win the million so I was kind of disappointed when it was Rich. Oh well, it was still a fun show to watch and Greg’s voting strategy was good too!
They’re going to be showing all 13 episodes in September so I’ll have to watch the first few episodes because I missed them before. I guess it’s supposed to run every night but Sunday starting on the 13th(?) so I’m looking forward to that.
I cannot BELIEVE Rich won! And it came down to which numbers the two of them picked.
I kept thinking that whoever came up against Rich would lose. He was my last choice for the winner.
Kelli, I don’t know that Sue really cost Kelly a million bucks any more than anyone else who voted for Rich did. Her speech didn’t change anyone’s vote, and seemed to make a couple of people (like Gervase) want to vote for Kelly even more.
Johnny, I refused to go online or even watch or read anything later in the day, yesterday. I really didn’t want to know who won ahead of time. Sorry you found out on e-bay. You would think that would be a relatively safe place to surf.
I did enjoy the meeting afterwards, even though it didn’t seem like a completely adequate wrap up. It was better than just ending it after Tribal Council.
Yeah, I wish Rudy had won also, but it was obviouse that Kelly thought she had a better chance at beating out Richard than Rudy. And I agree. I don’t think anyone there really disliked Rudy, and he probably would have won. I think he knew that when he lost the immunity thing. He knew that Kelly would out him, because she figured that more people disliked Richard than her. Personally, while I think it was the best “winning” stratagy she could have used, but I also would have looked at it from the standpoint of “Well, if I don’t win, who do I want to get the million dollars” in which case I certainly wouldn’t have wanted it to be Rich.
As a side note, did anyone think of applying to be on the next Survivor?..I downloaded the form, but damn, some of those questions…and I don’t think I’d like to be stuck in the Outback for 40 days…
Believe it or not, last night’s was the first and only episode I’ve ever watched. My only thoughts were:
Sue missed a golden opportunity to say, “If I came across you and you were dying of thirst, I wouldn’t even piss in your mouth.” (Alternate answer: “I wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire.”)
Rudy seemed to be the only one with any scruples; after Rich fucked him big-time on that pole-holding game, he still kept his word and voted for him. If he or Rich could have gotten immunity from that challenge, they could have kicked Kelly off and made a deal between themselves to split the million. And if they kicked Kelly off, Rudy probably would have won.
I think Rich screwed Rudy during the last immunity challenge. Think about it: it was in Richard’s best interest to be pitted against Kelly in the final council. He KNEW that if he was up against Rudy, he would lose. Therefore, he had to ensure that Kelly would win immunity. He was smart enough to figure that she would vote Rudy off, believing she would have a better chance of winning against Richard.
So, he dropped out early. Judging from the past immunity challenges, he knew that Kelly had a will of steel and would probably outlast Rudy. Sure enough, it all worked.
And regarding Sue: I said in a different thread that that was the most hate-filled speech I have ever heard. It was hard for me to watch. I did chuckle when she told Kelly she was such a loser. Um, who is in the final 2 and who already got voted off? What a bitch.
I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but it’s worth the download time. I hooted.
I only watched the last episode, and I missed some of it due to having sex. What was the “fat naked fag” thing about?
