I’ve seen debates with clips of him, and he seemed like a total ass. Just a joke. I had thought of him as an idiot who could just be written off…
But then I saw a clip he did of himself talking in a car. Nothing special, just him talking about how the establishment is going to do this or that. And he seemed like a normal, non-fake, somewhat appealing person. He seemed real. His message was still bullshit… but I kind of liked him.
My impression is that he’s made a mistake attaching himself to MAGA at this point but maybe, just maybe, there is potential for him in the future to do something.
I don’t disagree on that, I’m just saying I think the likelihood of a 73-year-old who’s been a professional politician since the Reagan administration recording a video of himself sitting in his car talking is somewhere between zero and zip.
I meant Vivek. Perhaps the contrast between his fake teevee presentations and this one video I saw were affecting, but whatever will happen will happen, you know…
The Onion-worthy real-life headline about Vivek was when he suggested halving the size of the federal government (or maybe just a few of the agencies) by firing everyone who had an even-numbered Social Security number. He actually did that. (Or maybe it was odd-numbered.)
Perhaps Vivek will return as the Veep voice of restraint and moderation; Virgil to Trump on his future travels.
One of Trump’s team suggested Vivek had trashed Trump too much to be considered. But this ignores a crucial fact. His first name and Veep start with the same letter. Kind of like discredited. Or impeached.
Of course, Vivek is out because Trump smoked him in Iowa. Late night take:
“Even though he barely spent any time in Iowa, it somehow made voters love him more. It’s the same strategy he used raising Eric and Don Jr.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“Trump won 98 of Iowa’s 99 counties. Apparently, the 99th county got confused and voted for ‘Succession.’” — JIMMY FALLON
“But Trump got 51 percent of the vote in Iowa. And even though it doesn’t mean much — you know, in 2016, Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucus, and now he lives at the bottom of an aquarium.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“Experts have been saying for months that Trump would win over 50 percent of the vote. These Iowa caucuses were the political version of ‘This could have been an email.’” — JIMMY FALLON
It’s sad that Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out of the presidential race. He had good policies like securing America’s borders in the North by building a wall with Canada and South which shares border with Mexico by having more border guards . USA needs to build a wall between Canada so illegal Americans can stop entering Canada and illegal Canadians can stop entering USA. I live in Canada but I was born in USA and there are some illegal Americans entering Canada along with asylum seekers from the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe using the American border to get to Canada since Canada has free healthcare even though our taxes pay for it.
I actually saw some plans to build a wall between the US and Canada. It was designed to protect our Canadian national identity, be relatively low cost and also include space and compassionate resources for those who cross the border illegally.
However, critics thought the idea ineffective since the wall can be defeated by simply lifting up on the clicky mechanism handle. (Picture below shows American miscreants; masks have been used when possible to protect their privacy.)
So you live in Canada too eh? I think the walk between USA and Canada is needed to stop some American citizens illegally entering Canada for human trafficking and drug trafficking and stop some Canadians illegally entering America for weapons trafficking and human trafficking. I live in Ontario Canada and there were a couple of illegal white Americans I worked with in a job who entered Canada illegally via the Detroit Windsor ambassador bridge. I was actually born in Detroit but moved to Ontario Canada when I was 12 with my family. I’m 31.
