I attended my first Doper gathering a few months back. If you don’t remember me, I’m the one whom when I made my appearance Snoooopy (or at least I hope it was him said “See. I told you he was black”
I made threadspotting once with a thread about my wedding. My other notable threads involved my crazy ex.
I’m the proud father of three sons and a stepson.

I’m Snakescatlady - “Snakes” is from the Columbus Cottonmouths, my favorite hockey team and the “catlady” comes from my work in feral cat rescue and TNR. Don’t watch much TV - I read a lot (sci-fi & fantasy) or play with the cats or play on the computer. Love some of the imaginative names I’ve seen on here! Haven’t been to a Dopefest yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

Hi, I’m The Sausage Creature. I say a lot but little of value. I haven’t met any Dopers outside the two I’m related to, who are less prolific than I am. I am the threadkiller extraordinaire. I like cooking, my cats, and the Classics. I came for GQ, but I stay for MPSIMS and the occasional quality rant in the Pit. Also, I seem to have inherited a dog. I expect I’ll be opening a thread about that, as I haven’t owned one ever in adulthood.

Hi, I’m River Hippie. The name stems from my love of whitewater kayaking which is kind of an unusual pastime for a flatlander from Indiana. I don’t really look much like a hippie at present but I’m a lefty, tree huggin’ enviro-whacko with a few right wing tendencies on certain issues.
I check in here everyday and skim through most of the forums but don’t post much 'cause I’m intimidated by all the smart folks.

Hi. I’m Hunter Hawk, and I seem to be something of an expert an remaining unnoticed. I occasionally post about music, booze, or old pulp fiction, and I sometimes make offhand comments for cheap laffs. I lurked for a long time before I signed up, so I’ve actually been reading the boards since not too long after Wally passed away.
I had thought I was a lurker, but people here are putting me to shame (I once had the elusive one post-per-year, but I lost it somewhere in MPSIMS). I’ve gotten off-board email about my username, though; that was pretty cool.

The board name is a play on my last name. Both my arms are still original. (I’ve thought about changing it, but I don’t really have a better alternative.)
Never been pitted. (I’m reluctantly starting to think it may be true that there’s no such thing as bad publicity, but it’s not in my nature to seek out the sort of conflict that leads to a proper pitting.)
Been to dopefests on two continents. (Got to spend three months in Europe last fall, which was amazing. Posted to the Nazi/I Love Lucy thread from Nuremberg, which is wrong in so many ways.)
Start very few threads, mostly replies. (How can you tell if people are even reading your posts, except when they come back to disagree or correct you?)
Can’t flirt. (Really can’t. Available. Tried. It’s like nailing Jello to a tree.)
Have obscure tastes, even for a doper. (Was thrilled when a DVD I ordered finally arrived; of a seven-year-old comedy series from Australia.)

Oh, but I did make Eve laugh, once. That’s the sort of thing that can keep a person going.
Hi, I’m rinni. I’m a makeup artist, but I work at a chocolate store. I so rarely get noticed around here that I giggled with glee when a couple of people acknowledged me in this thread.
I’m 24 and female and I play the flute, bass, and sing. I love videogames, my favourite being Xenogears. I also love Pokemon, so don’t hate!
I’m a good speller, but I use too many commas, exclamation points and emoticons.
