On May 6th, at precisely 2:03 (and 4 seconds) in the morning, it will be:
02:03:04 05/06/07
What are you doing to celebrate?
I’m going to dance naked around a pile of all the time-keeping devices in my house.

The same thing I did on 01:02:03 04/05/06. I will sleep through it. Not much of a celebration I guess.
One of the few noteworthy things about 4/20 is that it’s Adolph Hitler’s birthday. When I saw this thread I really had to wonder what the OP had in mind …
You slept through both of them?
In July 1990, it was 12:34:56 7/8/90.
I was thinking the same thing! The History Channel should have a private celebration in his honor though. After all, he’s given them half their programming.
am or pm?
For some reason, 4/20 is National Stoner Day or something. I don’t know why pot smokers decided to pick Hitler’s birthday to celebrate their getting high, but whatever.
I may very well be awake at 2:00 AM on Sunday morning, so I will be sure to celebrate.
For Europeans:
On June 5th, at precisely 2:03 (and 4 seconds) in the morning, it will be:
02:03:04 05/06/07
For Swedes:
On June 5th, at precisely 4:03 (and 2 seconds) in the morning, it will be:
07-06-05 04:03:02
I think it has something to do with the number on the California Penal Code regarding marijuana (420)… or something very similiar.
While the origins of 4:20 pm being joint hour, this is not it. More likely, it’s a good time to knock off early, or it’s enough time to rendezvous somewhere after school, and not be completely baked when Momanddad got home from work. Because of the International Stoner Hour, April 20th (4/20) became International Stoner Day. Pay attention to clocks in movies- there are plenty of examples of clocks being set to this time for the same reason. eta [/hijack]
As to the OP, who cares?
“420” became associated with marijuana use because back in '71, a group of a dozen or so San Rafael High School students would meet in the park after school at that time to get high.
Oh, man.
We’re going to have to do this every year until 2012, won’t we?
