I dig Metallica.
I also dig Creed.
I’ve never heard any of the other bands mentioned in this thread.
As far as Christian bands go, my best friend loves Jars of Clay. I don’t.

For my money from Master of Puppets, either Damage, Inc. or Battery. Damage, Inc. has some great tempo changes that come back and slam the speed and thrashing sense of the music right back in your face. Damage, Inc. just drags you along with it through the different verses.
Jars of Clay, I love them!! Not even Christian, but they are still one of my fav bands!
please tell me i am not the only napster fan here.
I HATE metallica(waaahhh we don’t have enough money)napster is stealing our stuff.
I used yto like Metallica(master of puppets rocked)but they had to start whining and turned me off.

Sepeltura changed from a death metal band to a more neo-metal band with Chaos AD. They released Roots which was produced by Ross Robinson at Indigo Studios (Korns producer and location for their first two albums). Maxes step-son was murdered and depending on who you believe the rest of Sepeltura didn’t want to stop touring so Max quite and formed Soulfly. What you heard on Beneath The Remains is nothing like what Soulfly is, Soulfly uses alot more Tribal orientation with heavy drum and primative instruments. Max is now the Bob Marley of metal singing about slave revolts and prejudice. Check out the songs Prejudice and Eye for an Eye from Soulfly and In Memory Of… from Primative for their more Christian slant.
Actually like I said… I wasnt doubting you, just finding it hard to beleive, but what you say is true and I can tell you know your shit. In all actuality and reality Chaos AD was their BEST “and one of my favorite albums” (I saw that tour live with fear factory and my OTHER favorite band “Clutch”) I didn’t mean that Chaos AD and the late max stuff was EVIL but I wouldnt classify it as CHRISTIAN just because it ISNT full of hate and has some compassion in it. Even if I myself AM a christian. I LOVE the Tribal feeling in Chaos however… I think I am going to HAVE to check out SoulFly… I have always felt wrong about not buying one of their albums anyway…
Thanks for the info!
No I didn’t.
I miss the old Metallica. Damage, Inc. was one of my favorite songs in high school. The new sell-out, anti-Napster, put-out-the-same-album-with-a-different-title Metallica honks. Kirk Hammett should ditch those losers and do a solo album. Or better yet, go on tour with Satriani, Vai and Eric Johnson next summer. That would be a rockin’ good time.
