Oh, I read it. Actually, it was the funniest thing I read all day. Are you apologizing or just whining and trying to justify your actions? It’s pretty hard to tell, but I’d have to assume the latter. You apologized for the large fonts, then used one to tell everyone to fuck off a mere four paragraphs later. You bemoaned the plethora of Pit threads dedicated to you, so you started another one.

I would like to acknowledge the apology to Qadgop. He’s done it more than once and it is worth noting.
My dad told me once that it is easier to not say something than to try to unsay it later. This is not bad advice. But when one *has *said something, well there really is only one recourse and that is to apologize. Andrewdt85 has done this and again I say it is worth noting.
I do not share most of his other beliefs - I have had some great doctors and some bad ones - but he is welcome to them. I do think he has tried his best to make the insult to **Qadgop **right. Good for him.
(Please note, the insult was to **Qadgop **and not to me, so I cannot accept it - I just want to point out that one has been made.)

When you start a thread about yourself in the Pit, you are inviting a critical pile-on. You just can’t tell people not to respond when you’re leaving yourself open to shots like that.

Unfortunately, mate, they don’t have to follow that. The trick is not to restrict the debate, but just to pick the good stuff out of the bad.
Seriously, you’ve got some good stuff to talk about. Your thread on country / western and other artists as sellouts was pretty interesting, for example. But you see how continually posting stuff in the pit naturally makes you a target of ire? You’ve pretty much got three options:
- Keep fighting back, which is a natural response because you feel the urge to defend yourself against what you see as unfair slurs, but which ultimately just leads to more fighting;
- Completely buckle under, make a mea culpa, which would solve the problem of people arguing against you, but you can’t really do (I couldn’t do that either); or
- Leave off posting for a while, at least in the Pit, and just dabble your toes in the water, posting in other people’s threads, starting a thread or two a week, until you get the hang of it and people forget about the current unpleasantness.
Out of those three options, war, surrender and truce, the third is the most workable, right?

You don’t have a sacred right to vent and rant about anything you want and get only constructive, helpful replies in return. We’re not a fucking support group. You say stupid stuff that pisses people off, they’re going to exercise their own right to vent and rant about it. often in the form of insults. That’s just how it works.
Sure, you got a lot of negative responses that basically all said the same thing. People like to give their opinions, even when others have already expressed similar opinions. If no one posted opinions that had already been offered, this board would have like fifty posts total. And half of them would probably be from you.
So, in summary: stop being such a fucking baby.
