First you come stomping into Cafe Society with a stupid question about what’s on your TV, then when no-one bothers to answer you start issuing peremptory demands: “…for fuck’s sake, turn on your damn tv and just check for me, wouldja?” After nobody is swayed by your honeyed words, you get pissy: “Thanks for nothing…This was the easiest motherfucking question to answer, and 20 people came in here and didn’t bother checking their tv channel.”
Understand this, fucko: the SDMB is not the “Rush To Answer Andrew’s Stupid Questions” message board. You aren’t entitled to a reply to your OP; nobody is. If you - or I, or anybody else - starts a thread and no-one deigns to reply, tough titty. Post something more sensible next time. Given your track record of stupid and abusive responses when anyone does reply to you, you should be grateful for anything you get short of mockery and abuse.
A few scant days ago you were whining about how psychologically fragile you were and promising to tone things down lest your delicate sensibilities be damaged by the fallout, and musing about whether this board was even the right place for you. If that last thread was your idea of a kinder, gentler andrewdt85 who has considered the error of his ways and vowed to mend them, then the sooner you piss off, the better.
Shit, I was up at 4 AM CST, I could have checked MTV… Except I never thought to pop into Cafe Society and see if anybody needed anything. Missed my big chance, I would have been the one motherfucker.
The part I love? He wanted Asian dopers to check for him. Because, y’know, the MTV feed they get in China is absolutely identical to the MTV feed they get in Virginia. They don’t even offset their schedule for the different time zones. The cable goes from the back of everyone’s TV directly to MTV corporate headquarters, and everyone who gets MTV sees exactly the same thing at the same time, no matter where they are in the world.
And not only did he start his own stupid “EVERYONE TELL ME THE ANSWER!!” thread, he hijacked someone else’s completely unrelated music question thread to link to his own thread.
It thought his posting must have been improving over the past few weeks, as he hadn’t been pitted and I hadn’t come across any monumentally stupid threads. But it turns out he just hadn’t been posting for awhile.
He was suspended for thirty days because of similar behavior. Somehow, I suspect his un-suspension will not be very long-lived. He just cannot seem to get the hang of this place.
He was suspended, came back, started more stupid Pit threads about how we were all mean to him, everyone hated him, and no one would help him by giving him CC, had roughly 39483748 people tell him to watch it, since he was walking a fine line, and then disappeared for a couple of weeks.
Yup, I agree that the un-suspension won’t last long. It’s a damn shame - if he could keep it together, I really think this place would help him out.
He is getting better and he is starting a lot less threads.
Of course the thread he started was fairly unreasonable. But if we were to graph his Ops for both frequency and annoyance factor, he is improving steadily.
Probably why this thread isn’t a pile on this time.
