This poll is directed at men who like men, that is gay or bisexual men. The question is what side of an attractive man is better apt to engage your most primal sexual urges (i.e. give you an erection); the front––excluding the face and including theshoulders, breast, abdomen, genitalia, legs––or the back (shoulders, spine, bottom, other side of the genitals and legs)?
This poll is not about romance, character traits or partner preferences, nor is it about one’s customary behaviour in bed but purely about sexual instinct.

The aim of the poll is to see whether people have a side-preference and if it can be linked to sexual-preference. The poll is indeed totally suggestive of the possibility of a top-bottom divide, the concept of which I understand to have a sketchy relationship with reality. That’s why it may be offensive but that is also why I find it interesting. The labels top, bottom, gay and bisexual I have sought to avoid in the poll answers because they seem an unnecessary layer of terms laden with social implications and only fit to lower fidelity of the meaning behind the words.
I’m a little puzzled by the premise behind your poll. On one level, it seems like it’s only asking “do you like butts?” And some of my favorite things (inner thighs, calves, nape of neck) don’t fall neatly into either category.
True. I completely see your point regarding the specificity of the poll and agree, nevertheless do I think that the admittedly simplistic question is an interesting one to start out with. Without laying too much emphasis on the specifics I would consider the calves and the nape of the neck to be part of the backside and the inner thighs belonging to the front. Perhaps these association are purely personal. If I were attracted only to parts that I could not assign to the back or front at all my answer would be that I have no preference.
I found this interesting because my friend recently showed me one of those “which do you prefer” photos of two transgender folks, one was a built smoking hot dude except he had a vagina, and the other was a voluptuous big boobed babe except she had a huge cock. Which had me pondering which elements of the male physique turned me on the most.
That’s a whole new poll right there, of a rather nice philosopho-logistical blend. If that hypothetical question were to one day turn into a practical quandary maybe a solution would be to swap partners towards the end of the evening.
Another poll that would interest me is one asking whether people are more motivated to exercise parts of the front or of the back of their body. Actually what I really want is to conduct a massive survey :rolleyes: The answers to this little poll alone already prove themselves to be very interesting.
