Ann Coulter Endorses Hillary!

We’ve not had a true Scottish president since Woodrow Wilson.

No one will notice. Those of us who despise the Ann Coulters would notice, but her fans would just shrug it off.

I think, after a night’s sleep, that the Ann Coulters and Rush Limbaughs probably really want Clinton elected. The Clinton years were the heyday of Limbaugh’s show. It’s more fun, and more entertaining for the listeners, to attack the president than to suck up. And Clinton is the ultimate target. They love to hate her.

How are you defining “conservative”?

I think that is overstating it a bit. Just because you lose an election doesn’t mean you are no longer a major power in American politics. I think the problem has been that the conservatives are splitting their votes between Romney and Huckabee while the liberal Republicans are uniting behind McCain.

I think you’re missing a major point. The voters had plenty of true conservatives to chose from - and they’ve all 'failed to gain traction" which means nobody was willing to support them.

The media keeps telling us over and over that immigration is going to be THE issue this year, but the anti-immigration candidates were the first to go, and the amnesty candidate is going to be the nominee.

The candidate that couldbest fill in each and every “true conservative” box was Fred Thompson. Didn’t make a dent.

The candidate that was the heartthrob of Fox News, the one who had all the war mongering press going wild while the right wing “pundits” pointedly ignored his personal issues was Guiliani, and he tanked. No candidate ever has gone from being the front runner nationally to an afterthought, so quickly and no candidate has squandered more corporate money for a single delegate.
The number one supported Republican candidate is Ron Paul. If that doesn’t tell you that the country is rejecting your message, I don’t know what does. Trouble is, the press hasn’t noticed.

Meh. She needs her material to be fresh again or her comedy career will tank. Clinton is a safe, proven, and fun target for her act, McCain is hard to tear down given his background, and it won’t be easy to go after a black president without appearing too overtly racist.

But it doesn’t reflect any deeper thought on her part, because she doesn’t let deeper thought influence her schtick. Doesn’t work on her target audience.

For years I’ve maintained that Coulter is the female, political Andrew Dice Clay. Like Clay, when her original schtick stops working she’ll promptly drop it and go with the opposite.

I’d wager that in the eyes of her supporters, saying that she’d vote for Hilary is the MOST outrageous and provocative thing she’s ever said.

Yes, and conservatives split their votes between them.

He only campaigned in one state and has the personality of a step-uncle that used to beat you with 2X4s. He still got enough votes to keep Huckabee from winning SC and giving McCain another win.

Guiliani is certainly not a conservative, and the fact that some conservative pundits sold out on him early doesn’t change anything.

I must misunderstand you somehow. How is Ron Paul the “number one supported Republican candidate”? By his 4% showings?

Last I checked at the Federal Election Commission, Ron Paul is still Behind McCain in fundraising, and McCain’s only number one if you toss out Romney for self-financing.
Heck, even Giuliani’s outraised Paul.

Usually, when conservatives mention this in relation to McCain, they’re talking about McCain-Feingold.

And then when Hillary wins and brings us such things as large tax increases and universal health care, who are you going to blame? McCain?

Ditto. If the conservatives decide to get behind Hillary because they don’t like McCain option, why, that’s just awesome.

Ah.

You realize that major corporations like GM, Ford, and Chrysler (to name but three) are also pushing for universal health care, don’t you? It seems that they feel they can’t compete against the Germans and Japanese who have universal health care, and thus don’t have to add the cost into the price of every car.

I don’t know about you guys, but when the suits get behind something I’m supporting, it makes me very nervous.
